Koran 7:30 — Sure Al-A'raf, Vers 30

فَرِيقًا هَدَىٰ وَفَرِيقًا حَقَّ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلضَّلَٰلَةُۚ إِنَّهُمُ ٱتَّخَذُواْ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ أَوۡلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَحۡسَبُونَ أَنَّهُم مُّهۡتَدُونَ

Einen Teil hat Er rechtgeleitet, an einem (anderen) Teil aber hat sich das Irregehen bewahrheitet, denn sie haben sich die Satane anstatt Allahs zu Schutzherren genommen und meinen, sie seien rechtgeleitet.

A group [of you] He guided, and a group deserved [to be in] error. Indeed, they had taken the devils as allies instead of Allah while they thought that they were guided

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Eine Gruppe hat Er rechtgeleitet, an einer (anderen) Gruppe aber hat sich das Irregehen bewahrheitet. Sie haben sich ja die Satane anstatt Allahs zu Schutzherren genommen und meinen, sie seien rechtgeleitet.
• Hilali & Khan: A group He has guided, and a group deserved to be in error; (because) surely they took the Shayâtîn (devils) as Auliyâ’ (protectors and helpers) instead of Allâh, and think that they are guided.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): A group He has guided, and another group deserved to go stray. They have taken devils as their guardians instead of Allah, thinking that they are guided.
