Koran 58:16 — Sure Al-Mujadila, Vers 16

ٱتَّخَذُوٓاْ أَيۡمَٰنَهُمۡ جُنَّةٗ فَصَدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٞ مُّهِينٞ

Sie haben sich ihre Eide zu einem Schutzschirm genommen und halten so von Allahs Weg ab. Für sie wird es schmachvolle Strafe geben.

They took their [false] oaths as a cover, so they averted [people] from the way of Allah, and for them is a humiliating punishment

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Sie haben sich ihre Eide zu einem Schutzschirm genommen und halten demnach vom Weg Allahs ab. So wird es für sie schmachvolle Strafe geben.
• Hilali & Khan: They have made their oaths a screen (for their evil actions). Thus they hinder (men) from the Path of Allâh: so they shall have a humiliating torment.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): They have taken their oaths as a shield, in order to hinder people from the way of Allah. For them there will be a humiliating punishment.
