Koran 46:17 — Sure Al-Ahqaf, Vers 17

وَٱلَّذِي قَالَ لِوَٰلِدَيۡهِ أُفّٖ لَّكُمَآ أَتَعِدَانِنِيٓ أَنۡ أُخۡرَجَ وَقَدۡ خَلَتِ ٱلۡقُرُونُ مِن قَبۡلِي وَهُمَا يَسۡتَغِيثَانِ ٱللَّهَ وَيۡلَكَ ءَامِنۡ إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقّٞ فَيَقُولُ مَا هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ

Und derjenige, der zu seinen Eltern sagt: Pfui über euch! Versprecht ihr mir etwa, ich sollte hervorgebracht werden, wo vor mir bereits Geschlechter dahingegangen sind? während sie beide Allah um Hilfe anrufen: Wehe dir! glaube doch! Gewiß, Allahs Versprechen ist wahr. Da sagt er: Das sind nur Fabeln der Früheren.

But one who says to his parents, "Uff to you; do you promise me that I will be brought forth [from the earth] when generations before me have already passed on [into oblivion]?" while they call to Allah for help [and to their son], "Woe to you! Believe! Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth." But he says, "This is not but legends of the former people

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Und derjenige, der zu seinen Eltern sagt: „Uff über euch! Versprecht ihr mir etwa, dass ich hervorgebracht werden soll, obwohl schon vor mir Gemeinschaften dahingegangen sind?“ (Und der,) während sie beide Allah um Hilfe anflehen (und zu ihrem Kind sagen): „Wehe dir! Glaube doch! Wahrlich, das Versprechen Allahs ist wahr“, dann sagt: „Das sind nichts als Fabeln der Früheren.“
• Hilali & Khan: But he who says to his parents: "Fie upon you both! Do you hold out the promise to me that I shall be raised up (again) when generations before me have passed away (without rising)?" While they (father and mother) invoke Allâh for help (and rebuke their son): "Woe to you! Believe! Verily, the Promise of Allâh is true." But he says: "This is nothing but the tales of the ancient."
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): But some say to their parents, “Fie upon you both! Are you warning me that I will be resurrected, even though many generations have passed before me [yet none was resurrected]?” His parents cry seeking Allah’s help, “Woe to you! Believe! The promise of Allah is true.” But he says, “This is nothing but ancient fables.”
