Koran 29:38 — Sure Al-'Ankabut, Vers 38

وَعَادٗا وَثَمُودَاْ وَقَد تَّبَيَّنَ لَكُم مِّن مَّسَٰكِنِهِمۡۖ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ فَصَدَّهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَكَانُواْ مُسۡتَبۡصِرِينَ

Und (erwähne auch) die ’Ad und die Tamud. (Ihr Untergang) ist euch ja deutlich geworden an ihren Wohnorten. Der Satan schmückte ihnen ihre Taten aus und hielt sie so vom Weg ab, obwohl sie Einsicht besaßen.

And [We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud, and it has become clear to you from their [ruined] dwellings. And Satan had made pleasing to them their deeds and averted them from the path, and they were endowed with perception

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Und (vernichtet haben Wir auch) die 'Ad und die Thamud. (Ihr Untergang) ist euch ja deutlich geworden an ihren Wohnorten. Der Satan schmückte ihnen ihre Taten aus und hielt sie so vom Weg ab, obwohl sie Einsicht besaßen.
• Hilali & Khan: And ‘Âd and Thamûd (people)! And indeed (their destruction) is clearly apparent to you from their (ruined) dwellings. Shaitân (Satan) made their deeds fair-seeming to them, and turned them away from the (Right) Path, though they were intelligent.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): And [We destroyed] ‘Ād and Thamūd, which is clear to you from their ruined dwellings. Satan made their deeds appealing to them and averted them from the right way, although they were people of perception.
