Koran 28:63 — Sure Al-Qasas, Vers 63

قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ حَقَّ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ رَبَّنَا هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ أَغۡوَيۡنَآ أَغۡوَيۡنَٰهُمۡ كَمَا غَوَيۡنَاۖ تَبَرَّأۡنَآ إِلَيۡكَۖ مَا كَانُوٓاْ إِيَّانَا يَعۡبُدُونَ

Diejenigen, gegen die sich das Wort bewahrheitet hat, sagen: „Unser Herr, diese, die wir in Verirrung haben fallen lassen, haben wir (nur) in Verirrung fallen lassen, wie wir selbst in Verirrung gefallen waren. (Von ihnen) sagen wir uns vor Dir los. Nicht uns dienten sie ja.

Those upon whom the word will have come into effect will say, "Our Lord, these are the ones we led to error. We led them to error just as we were in error. We declare our disassociation [from them] to You. They did not used to worship us

• Hilali & Khan: Those about whom the Word will have come true (to be punished) will say: "Our Lord! These are they whom we led astray. We led them astray, as we were astray ourselves. We declare our innocence (from them) before You. It was not us they worshipped."
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Those against whom the word will be fulfilled will say, “Our Lord, these are the ones whom we led astray; we led them astray as we ourselves went astray. We disassociate ourselves [from them] before You; it was not us that they used to worship.”
