Koran 22:12 — Sure Al-Hajj, Vers 12

يَدۡعُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُۥ وَمَا لَا يَنفَعُهُۥۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلضَّلَٰلُ ٱلۡبَعِيدُ

Er ruft anstatt Allahs das an, was ihm weder schadet noch nützt. Das ist wirklich der tiefe Irrtum.

He invokes instead of Allah that which neither harms him nor benefits him. That is what is the extreme error

• Hilali & Khan: He calls besides Allâh unto that which can neither harm him, nor profit him. That is a straying far away.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): They invoke besides Allah what can neither harm nor benefit them. That is the farthest misguidance.
