Koran 2:279 — Sure Al-Baqarah, Vers 279

فَإِن لَّمۡ تَفۡعَلُواْ فَأۡذَنُواْ بِحَرۡبٖ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦۖ وَإِن تُبۡتُمۡ فَلَكُمۡ رُءُوسُ أَمۡوَٰلِكُمۡ لَا تَظۡلِمُونَ وَلَا تُظۡلَمُونَ

Wenn ihr es aber nicht tut, dann laßt euch Krieg von Allah und Seinem Gesandten ansagen! Doch wenn ihr bereut, dann steht euch euer (ausgeliehenes) Grundvermögen zu; (so) tut weder ihr Unrecht, noch wird euch Unrecht zugefügt.

And if you do not, then be informed of a war [against you] from Allah and His Messenger. But if you repent, you may have your principal - [thus] you do no wrong, nor are you wronged

• Hilali & Khan: And if you do not do it, then take a notice of war from Allâh and His Messenger but if you repent, you shall have your capital sums. Deal not unjustly (by asking more than your capital sums), and you shall not be dealt with unjustly (by receiving less than your capital sums).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): But if you do not do it, then beware of a declaration of war from Allah and His Messenger. However, if you repent, you may retain your capital – neither harming nor suffering harm.
