Koran 2:101 — Sure Al-Baqarah, Vers 101

وَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ رَسُولٞ مِّنۡ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ مُصَدِّقٞ لِّمَا مَعَهُمۡ نَبَذَ فَرِيقٞ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ كِتَٰبَ ٱللَّهِ وَرَآءَ ظُهُورِهِمۡ كَأَنَّهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ

Und als (nun) zu ihnen ein Gesandter von Allah gekommen ist, das bestätigend, was ihnen (an Offenbarungen) bereits vorlag, da hat eine Gruppe von denjenigen, denen die Schrift gegeben wurde, das Buch Allahs hinter ihren Rücken geworfen, als ob sie nicht Bescheid wüßten.

And when a messenger from Allah came to them confirming that which was with them, a party of those who had been given the Scripture threw the Scripture of Allah behind their backs as if they did not know [what it contained]

• Rowwad Translation Center (en): And when a messenger from Allah came to them – confirming what was with them, a party of the People of the Book cast Allah’s Scripture behind their backs as if they did not know.
