Koran 17:79 — Sure Al-Isra, Vers 79

وَمِنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ فَتَهَجَّدۡ بِهِۦ نَافِلَةٗ لَّكَ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَبۡعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامٗا مَّحۡمُودٗا

Und (einen Teil) der Nacht, verbringe ihn damit, zusätzlich für dich. Vielleicht wird dich dein Herr zu einer lobenswerten (Rang)stellung erwecken.

And from [part of] the night, pray with it as additional [worship] for you; it is expected that your Lord will resurrect you to a praised station

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Und (einen Teil) der Nacht, so verbringe ihn (mit dem freiwilligen Nachtgebet), als zusätzliche Tat für dich. Vielleicht wird dich (ja) dein Herr zu einer lobenswerten (Rang)stellung erwecken.
• Hilali & Khan: And in some parts of the night (also) offer the Salât (prayer) with it (i.e. recite the Qur’ân in the prayer), as an additional prayer (Tahajjud optional prayer - Nawâfil) for you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم). It may be that your Lord will raise you to Maqâm Mahmûd (a station of praise and glory, i.e. the honour of intercession on the Day of Resurrection.).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): And wake up during the night and pray, as an additional prayer for you [O Prophet], so your Lord may raise you to a praised status.
