Koran 17:7 — Sure Al-Isra, Vers 7

إِنۡ أَحۡسَنتُمۡ أَحۡسَنتُمۡ لِأَنفُسِكُمۡۖ وَإِنۡ أَسَأۡتُمۡ فَلَهَاۚ فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعۡدُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ لِيَسُـُٔواْ وُجُوهَكُمۡ وَلِيَدۡخُلُواْ ٱلۡمَسۡجِدَ كَمَا دَخَلُوهُ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٖ وَلِيُتَبِّرُواْ مَا عَلَوۡاْ تَتۡبِيرًا

Wenn ihr Gutes tut, tut ihr Gutes für euch selbst; und wenn ihr Böses tut, ist es (auch) für euch selbst. - Wenn nun das Versprechen vom letzten (Mal) eintrifft, so sollen sie eure Gesichter entstellen und die Gebetsstätte betreten, wie sie diese das erste Mal betraten, und das, worüber sie Macht erlangt haben, völlig zerstören.

[And said], "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, [you do it] to yourselves." Then when the final promise came, [We sent your enemies] to sadden your faces and to enter the temple in Jerusalem, as they entered it the first time, and to destroy what they had taken over with [total] destruction

Then, when the second promise came to pass, (We permitted your enemies) to disgrace your faces and to enter the mosque (of Jerusalem) as they had entered it before, and to destroy with utter destruction all that fell in their hands.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): If you do good, it is for your own good, but if you do evil, it is to your own loss. Then when the second warning came to pass, your enemies would disgrace and suppress you, and enter the Temple [of Jerusalem] as they entered it the first time, and utterly destroy whatever fell into their power.
