Koran 17:42 — Sure Al-Isra, Vers 42

قُل لَّوۡ كَانَ مَعَهُۥٓ ءَالِهَةٞ كَمَا يَقُولُونَ إِذٗا لَّٱبۡتَغَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ ذِي ٱلۡعَرۡشِ سَبِيلٗا

Sag: Wenn es neben Ihm noch (andere) Götter gäbe, wie sie sagen, dann würden sie wahrlich nach einem Weg zum Besitzer des Thrones trachten.

Say, [O Muhammad], "If there had been with Him [other] gods, as they say, then they [each] would have sought to the Owner of the Throne a way

• Hilali & Khan: Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم to these polytheists, pagans): "If there had been other âlihah (gods) along with Him as they assert, then they would certainly have sought out a way to the Lord of the Throne (seeking His Pleasures and to be near to Him).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Say, “If there were other gods besides Him – as they claim – they would have surely sought a way to the Lord of the Throne.”
