Surah Ghafir (40) — The Forgiver · غافر
Meccan surah, 85 ayat.
The Forgiver of sin — a believer from Pharaoh's house speaks out.
Ghafir 40:1
حمٓ
Ha, Meem
Hā Mīm.
Ghafir 40:2
تَنزِيلُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡعَلِيمِ
The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Knowing
Knjigu objavljuje Allah, Silni i Sveznajući,
Ghafir 40:3
غَافِرِ ٱلذَّنۢبِ وَقَابِلِ ٱلتَّوۡبِ شَدِيدِ ٱلۡعِقَابِ ذِي ٱلطَّوۡلِۖ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ إِلَيۡهِ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
The forgiver of sin, acceptor of repentance, severe in punishment, owner of abundance. There is no deity except Him; to Him is the destination
koji oprašta grijehe i prima pokajanje, koji strahovito kažnjava i obilno nagrađuje; drugog boga osim Njega nema, Njemu se sve vraća.
Ghafir 40:4
مَا يُجَٰدِلُ فِيٓ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَلَا يَغۡرُرۡكَ تَقَلُّبُهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ
No one disputes concerning the signs of Allah except those who disbelieve, so be not deceived by their [uninhibited] movement throughout the land
O Allahovim ajetima raspravljaju samo oni koji ne vjeruju, pa neka te ne obmanjuje to što se oni po svijetu kreću.
Ghafir 40:5
كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٖ وَٱلۡأَحۡزَابُ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡۖ وَهَمَّتۡ كُلُّ أُمَّةِۭ بِرَسُولِهِمۡ لِيَأۡخُذُوهُۖ وَجَٰدَلُواْ بِٱلۡبَٰطِلِ لِيُدۡحِضُواْ بِهِ ٱلۡحَقَّ فَأَخَذۡتُهُمۡۖ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ
The people of Noah denied before them and the [disbelieving] factions after them, and every nation intended [a plot] for their messenger to seize him, and they disputed by [using] falsehood to [attempt to] invalidate thereby the truth. So I seized them, and how [terrible] was My penalty
I Nuhov narod je prije njih poricao, a i poslije njega oni koji su se bili protiv poslanika urotili. Svaki narod nastojao je da se domogne svoga poslanika i trudio se da neistinom uguši istinu, pa sam ga Ja kažnjavao – a kakva je bila kazna Moja!
Ghafir 40:6
وَكَذَٰلِكَ حَقَّتۡ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَنَّهُمۡ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ
And thus has the word of your Lord come into effect upon those who disbelieved that they are companions of the Fire
I tako će se riječ Gospodara tvoga ispuniti da će oni koji nisu htjeli da vjeruju – stanovnici u vatri biti.
Ghafir 40:7
ٱلَّذِينَ يَحۡمِلُونَ ٱلۡعَرۡشَ وَمَنۡ حَوۡلَهُۥ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَيُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَيَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْۖ رَبَّنَا وَسِعۡتَ كُلَّ شَيۡءٖ رَّحۡمَةٗ وَعِلۡمٗا فَٱغۡفِرۡ لِلَّذِينَ تَابُواْ وَٱتَّبَعُواْ سَبِيلَكَ وَقِهِمۡ عَذَابَ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ
Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those around it exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who have believed, [saying], "Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire
Meleki koji drže Prijesto i oni koji su oko njega veličaju i hvale Gospodara svoga i vjeruju u Nj i mole se da budu oprošteni grijesi vjernicima: "Gospodaru naš, Ti sve obuhvaćaš milošću i znanjem; zato oprosti onima koji su se pokajali i koji slijede Tvoj put i sačuvaj ih patnje u vatri!
Ghafir 40:8
رَبَّنَا وَأَدۡخِلۡهُمۡ جَنَّـٰتِ عَدۡنٍ ٱلَّتِي وَعَدتَّهُمۡ وَمَن صَلَحَ مِنۡ ءَابَآئِهِمۡ وَأَزۡوَٰجِهِمۡ وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِهِمۡۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
Our Lord, and admit them to gardens of perpetual residence which You have promised them and whoever was righteous among their fathers, their spouses and their offspring. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise
Gospodaru naš, uvedi ih u edenske vrtove, koje si im obećao, i pretke njihove i žene njihove i potomstvo njihovo – one koji su bili dobri; Ti si, uistinu, silan i mudar.
Ghafir 40:9
وَقِهِمُ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِۚ وَمَن تَقِ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ يَوۡمَئِذٖ فَقَدۡ رَحِمۡتَهُۥۚ وَذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ
And protect them from the evil consequences [of their deeds]. And he whom You protect from evil consequences that Day - You will have given him mercy. And that is the great attainment
I poštedi ih kazne zbog ružnih djela, jer koga Ti toga dana poštediš kazne zbog ružnih djela – Ti si mu se smilovao, a to će, zaista, veliki uspjeh biti!"
Ghafir 40:10
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُنَادَوۡنَ لَمَقۡتُ ٱللَّهِ أَكۡبَرُ مِن مَّقۡتِكُمۡ أَنفُسَكُمۡ إِذۡ تُدۡعَوۡنَ إِلَى ٱلۡإِيمَٰنِ فَتَكۡفُرُونَ
Indeed, those who disbelieve will be addressed, "The hatred of Allah for you was [even] greater than your hatred of yourselves [this Day in Hell] when you were invited to faith, but you refused
Onima koji nisu vjerovali doviknuće se: "Allahova odvratnost prema vama kad ste, pozivani da vjerujete, ostali nevjernici – bila je, doista, veća od vaše odvratnosti sada prema sebi."
Ghafir 40:11
قَالُواْ رَبَّنَآ أَمَتَّنَا ٱثۡنَتَيۡنِ وَأَحۡيَيۡتَنَا ٱثۡنَتَيۡنِ فَٱعۡتَرَفۡنَا بِذُنُوبِنَا فَهَلۡ إِلَىٰ خُرُوجٖ مِّن سَبِيلٖ
They will say, "Our Lord, You made us lifeless twice and gave us life twice, and we have confessed our sins. So is there to an exit any way
"Gospodaru naš" – reći će oni – "dva puta si nas usmrtio i dva puta si nas oživio; mi priznajemo grijehe naše, pa ima li ikakva načina da se iziđe?"
Ghafir 40:12
ذَٰلِكُم بِأَنَّهُۥٓ إِذَا دُعِيَ ٱللَّهُ وَحۡدَهُۥ كَفَرۡتُمۡ وَإِن يُشۡرَكۡ بِهِۦ تُؤۡمِنُواْۚ فَٱلۡحُكۡمُ لِلَّهِ ٱلۡعَلِيِّ ٱلۡكَبِيرِ
[They will be told], "That is because, when Allah was called upon alone, you disbelieved; but if others were associated with Him, you believed. So the judgement is with Allah, the Most High, the Grand
"To vam je zato što niste vjerovali kad se pozivalo Allahu Jedinom, a vjerovali ste ako bi Mu se neko drugi smatrao jednakim! Odluka pripada jedino Allahu, Uzvišenom i Velikom."
Ghafir 40:13
هُوَ ٱلَّذِي يُرِيكُمۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ وَيُنَزِّلُ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزۡقٗاۚ وَمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ إِلَّا مَن يُنِيبُ
It is He who shows you His signs and sends down to you from the sky, provision. But none will remember except he who turns back [in repentance]
On vam pokazuje znamenja Svoja i spušta vam opskrbu s neba, a pouku će prihvatiti samo onaj koji se Njemu obraća.
Ghafir 40:14
فَٱدۡعُواْ ٱللَّهَ مُخۡلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ وَلَوۡ كَرِهَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ
So invoke Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, although the disbelievers dislike it
Klanjajte se zato Allahu, iskreno Mu ispovijedajući vjeru – pa makar to nevjernicima bilo mrsko –
Ghafir 40:15
رَفِيعُ ٱلدَّرَجَٰتِ ذُو ٱلۡعَرۡشِ يُلۡقِي ٱلرُّوحَ مِنۡ أَمۡرِهِۦ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِهِۦ لِيُنذِرَ يَوۡمَ ٱلتَّلَاقِ
[He is] the Exalted above [all] degrees, Owner of the Throne; He places the inspiration of His command upon whom He wills of His servants to warn of the Day of Meeting
Onome najuzvišenijem, koji svemirom vlada, koji šalje Objavu, riječi Svoje – kome hoće od robova Svojih, da upozori na Dan susreta međusobnog,
Ghafir 40:16
يَوۡمَ هُم بَٰرِزُونَۖ لَا يَخۡفَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مِنۡهُمۡ شَيۡءٞۚ لِّمَنِ ٱلۡمُلۡكُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَۖ لِلَّهِ ٱلۡوَٰحِدِ ٱلۡقَهَّارِ
The Day they come forth nothing concerning them will be concealed from Allah. To whom belongs [all] sovereignty this Day? To Allah, the One, the Prevailing
na Dan kad će se oni pojaviti, kada Allahu neće o njima ništa skriveno biti. "Ko će imati vlast toga dana?" – "Allah, Jedini i Svemoćni!"
Ghafir 40:17
ٱلۡيَوۡمَ تُجۡزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفۡسِۭ بِمَا كَسَبَتۡۚ لَا ظُلۡمَ ٱلۡيَوۡمَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ
This Day every soul will be recompensed for what it earned. No injustice today! Indeed, Allah is swift in account
Svaki čovjek će toga Dana prema zasluzi kažnjen ili nagrađen biti; toga Dana neće biti nepravde! Allah će, zaista, brzo obračunati.
Ghafir 40:18
وَأَنذِرۡهُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡأٓزِفَةِ إِذِ ٱلۡقُلُوبُ لَدَى ٱلۡحَنَاجِرِ كَٰظِمِينَۚ مَا لِلظَّـٰلِمِينَ مِنۡ حَمِيمٖ وَلَا شَفِيعٖ يُطَاعُ
And warn them, [O Muhammad], of the Approaching Day, when hearts are at the throats, filled [with distress]. For the wrongdoers there will be no devoted friend and no intercessor [who is] obeyed
I upozori ih na bliski Sudnji dan kada će srca do grkljana doprijeti i popriječiti se, kada nevjernici ni prisna prijatelja ni posrednika neće imati koji će uslišan biti.
Ghafir 40:19
يَعۡلَمُ خَآئِنَةَ ٱلۡأَعۡيُنِ وَمَا تُخۡفِي ٱلصُّدُورُ
He knows that which deceives the eyes and what the breasts conceal
On zna poglede koji kriomice u ono što je zabranjeno gledaju, a i ono što grudi kriju;
Ghafir 40:20
وَٱللَّهُ يَقۡضِي بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ لَا يَقۡضُونَ بِشَيۡءٍۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡبَصِيرُ
And Allah judges with truth, while those they invoke besides Him judge not with anything. Indeed, Allah - He is the Hearing, the Seeing
Allah će po pravdi presuditi, a oni kojima se oni, pored Njega, klanjaju – neće ni po čemu suditi. Allah, zaista, sve čuje i sve vidi.
Ghafir 40:21
۞أَوَلَمۡ يَسِيرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَيَنظُرُواْ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُواْ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۚ كَانُواْ هُمۡ أَشَدَّ مِنۡهُمۡ قُوَّةٗ وَءَاثَارٗا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمۡ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَاقٖ
Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those who were before them? They were greater than them in strength and in impression on the land, but Allah seized them for their sins. And they had not from Allah any protector
Zašto oni ne putuju po svijetu pa da vide kako su završili oni prije njih. Bili su od njih moćniji i više spomenika su na Zemlji ostavili, ali ih je Allah, zbog grijehova njihovih, kaznio i niko ih od Allahove kazne nije odbranio.
Ghafir 40:22
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَانَت تَّأۡتِيهِمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَكَفَرُواْ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ قَوِيّٞ شَدِيدُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ
That was because their messengers were coming to them with clear proofs, but they disbelieved, so Allah seized them. Indeed, He is Powerful and severe in punishment
Allah ih je kaznio zato što su poricali jasne dokaze koje su im poslanici njihovi donosili, On je, zaista, moćan, On strahovito kažnjava.
Ghafir 40:23
وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مُوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَسُلۡطَٰنٖ مُّبِينٍ
And We did certainly send Moses with Our signs and a clear authority
Mi smo poslali Musaa sa znamenjima Našim i dokazom jasnim
Ghafir 40:24
إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَهَٰمَٰنَ وَقَٰرُونَ فَقَالُواْ سَٰحِرٞ كَذَّابٞ
To Pharaoh, Haman and Qarun; but they said, "[He is] a magician and a liar
faraonu i Hamanu i Karunu, ali su oni rekli: "Čarobnjak i lažov!"
Ghafir 40:25
فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُم بِٱلۡحَقِّ مِنۡ عِندِنَا قَالُواْ ٱقۡتُلُوٓاْ أَبۡنَآءَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مَعَهُۥ وَٱسۡتَحۡيُواْ نِسَآءَهُمۡۚ وَمَا كَيۡدُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَٰلٖ
And when he brought them the truth from Us, they said, "Kill the sons of those who have believed with him and keep their women alive." But the plan of the disbelievers is not except in error
A kada im je on donio Istinu od Nas, rekli su: "Ubijajte opet mušku djecu onih koji vjeruju u ono što on govori, a ostavljajte u životu njihovu žensku djecu!" – Ali, lukavstva nevjernika su uvijek uzaludna.
Ghafir 40:26
وَقَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ ذَرُونِيٓ أَقۡتُلۡ مُوسَىٰ وَلۡيَدۡعُ رَبَّهُۥٓۖ إِنِّيٓ أَخَافُ أَن يُبَدِّلَ دِينَكُمۡ أَوۡ أَن يُظۡهِرَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ٱلۡفَسَادَ
And Pharaoh said, "Let me kill Moses and let him call upon his Lord. Indeed, I fear that he will change your religion or that he will cause corruption in the land
"Pustite vi mene" – reče faraon – "da ubijem Musaa, a on neka traži pomoć od Gospodara svoga, jer se bojim da vam on vjeru vašu ne izmijeni ili da u zemlji nered ne izazove."
Ghafir 40:27
وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنِّي عُذۡتُ بِرَبِّي وَرَبِّكُم مِّن كُلِّ مُتَكَبِّرٖ لَّا يُؤۡمِنُ بِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡحِسَابِ
But Moses said, "Indeed, I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant one who does not believe in the Day of Account
Musa reče: "Molim Gospodara svoga i Gospodara vašega da me zaštiti od svakog oholog koji ne vjeruje u Dan u kome će se račun polagati!"
Ghafir 40:28
وَقَالَ رَجُلٞ مُّؤۡمِنٞ مِّنۡ ءَالِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ يَكۡتُمُ إِيمَٰنَهُۥٓ أَتَقۡتُلُونَ رَجُلًا أَن يَقُولَ رَبِّيَ ٱللَّهُ وَقَدۡ جَآءَكُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ مِن رَّبِّكُمۡۖ وَإِن يَكُ كَٰذِبٗا فَعَلَيۡهِ كَذِبُهُۥۖ وَإِن يَكُ صَادِقٗا يُصِبۡكُم بَعۡضُ ٱلَّذِي يَعِدُكُمۡۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهۡدِي مَنۡ هُوَ مُسۡرِفٞ كَذَّابٞ
And a believing man from the family of Pharaoh who concealed his faith said, "Do you kill a man [merely] because he says, 'My Lord is Allah' while he has brought you clear proofs from your Lord? And if he should be lying, then upon him is [the consequence of] his lie; but if he should be truthful, there will strike you some of what he promises you. Indeed, Allah does not guide one who is a transgressor and a liar
A jedan čovjek, vjernik, iz porodice faraonove, koji je krio vjerovanje svoje, reče: "Zar da ubijete čovjeka zato što govori: 'Gospodar moj je Allah!', onoga koji vam je donio jasne dokaze od Gospodara vašeg? Ako je lažov, njegova laž će njemu nauditi, a ako govori istinu, onda će vas stići barem nešto od onoga čime vam prijeti, jer Allah neće ukazati na Pravi put onome koji u zlu pretjeruje i koji mnogo laže.
Ghafir 40:29
يَٰقَوۡمِ لَكُمُ ٱلۡمُلۡكُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ ظَٰهِرِينَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَمَن يَنصُرُنَا مِنۢ بَأۡسِ ٱللَّهِ إِن جَآءَنَاۚ قَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ مَآ أُرِيكُمۡ إِلَّا مَآ أَرَىٰ وَمَآ أَهۡدِيكُمۡ إِلَّا سَبِيلَ ٱلرَّشَادِ
O my people, sovereignty is yours today, [your being] dominant in the land. But who would protect us from the punishment of Allah if it came to us?" Pharaoh said, "I do not show you except what I see, and I do not guide you except to the way of right conduct
O narode moj, danas vama pripada vlast i vi ste na vrhovima u zemlji, ali ko će nas odbraniti od Allahove kazne ako nas ona stigne?" A faraon reče: "Savjetujem vam samo ono što mislim, a na Pravi put ću vas samo ja izvesti."
Ghafir 40:30
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِيٓ ءَامَنَ يَٰقَوۡمِ إِنِّيٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيۡكُم مِّثۡلَ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡأَحۡزَابِ
And he who believed said, "O my people, indeed I fear for you [a fate] like the day of the companies
A onda onaj vjernik reče: "O narode moj, bojim se da i vas ne stigne ono što je stiglo narode koji su se protiv poslanika bili urotili,
Ghafir 40:31
مِثۡلَ دَأۡبِ قَوۡمِ نُوحٖ وَعَادٖ وَثَمُودَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡۚ وَمَا ٱللَّهُ يُرِيدُ ظُلۡمٗا لِّلۡعِبَادِ
Like the custom of the people of Noah and of 'Aad and Thamud and those after them. And Allah wants no injustice for [His] servants
kao što je to bilo sa Nuhovim narodom i Adom i Semudom i onima poslije njih. – A Allah nije nepravedan robovima Svojim.
Ghafir 40:32
وَيَٰقَوۡمِ إِنِّيٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلتَّنَادِ
And O my people, indeed I fear for you the Day of Calling
O narode moj, plašim se šta će biti s vama na Dan kada budete jedni druge dozivali,
Ghafir 40:33
يَوۡمَ تُوَلُّونَ مُدۡبِرِينَ مَا لَكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِنۡ عَاصِمٖۗ وَمَن يُضۡلِلِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِنۡ هَادٖ
The Day you will turn your backs fleeing; there is not for you from Allah any protector. And whoever Allah leaves astray - there is not for him any guide
na Dan kada budete uzmičući bježali, kada vas od Allaha neće moći niko odbraniti. A onoga koga Allah u zabludi ostavi, toga neće niko uputiti.
Ghafir 40:34
وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَكُمۡ يُوسُفُ مِن قَبۡلُ بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَمَا زِلۡتُمۡ فِي شَكّٖ مِّمَّا جَآءَكُم بِهِۦۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا هَلَكَ قُلۡتُمۡ لَن يَبۡعَثَ ٱللَّهُ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦ رَسُولٗاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ مَنۡ هُوَ مُسۡرِفٞ مُّرۡتَابٌ
And Joseph had already come to you before with clear proofs, but you remained in doubt of that which he brought to you, until when he died, you said, 'Never will Allah send a messenger after him.' Thus does Allah leave astray he who is a transgressor and skeptic
Jusuf vam je, još davno, donio jasne dokaze, ali ste vi stalno sumnjali u ono što vam je donio. A kad je on umro, vi ste rekli: 'Allah više neće poslije njega poslati poslanika!' Eto tako Allah ostavlja u zabludi svakoga ko u zlu pretjeruje i sumnja,
Ghafir 40:35
ٱلَّذِينَ يُجَٰدِلُونَ فِيٓ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ بِغَيۡرِ سُلۡطَٰنٍ أَتَىٰهُمۡۖ كَبُرَ مَقۡتًا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَعِندَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَطۡبَعُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ قَلۡبِ مُتَكَبِّرٖ جَبَّارٖ
Those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah without an authority having come to them - great is hatred [of them] in the sight of Allah and in the sight of those who have believed. Thus does Allah seal over every heart [belonging to] an arrogant tyrant
one koji o Allahovim znamenjima raspravljaju, iako im nikakav dokaz nije došao, pa izazivaju još veću Allahovu mržnju i mržnju vjernika. – Tako Allah pečati srce svakog oholog i nasilnog."
Ghafir 40:36
وَقَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ يَٰهَٰمَٰنُ ٱبۡنِ لِي صَرۡحٗا لَّعَلِّيٓ أَبۡلُغُ ٱلۡأَسۡبَٰبَ
And Pharaoh said, "O Haman, construct for me a tower that I might reach the ways
"O Hamane" – reče faraon – "sagradi mi jedan toranj ne bih li stigao da staza,
Ghafir 40:37
أَسۡبَٰبَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ فَأَطَّلِعَ إِلَىٰٓ إِلَٰهِ مُوسَىٰ وَإِنِّي لَأَظُنُّهُۥ كَٰذِبٗاۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِفِرۡعَوۡنَ سُوٓءُ عَمَلِهِۦ وَصُدَّ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِۚ وَمَا كَيۡدُ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِلَّا فِي تَبَابٖ
The ways into the heavens - so that I may look at the deity of Moses; but indeed, I think he is a liar." And thus was made attractive to Pharaoh the evil of his deed, and he was averted from the [right] way. And the plan of Pharaoh was not except in ruin
staza nebeskih, ne bih li se popeo do Musaova Boga, a ja smatram da je on, zaista, lažac." I eto tako su se faraonu njegova ružna djela učinila lijepim i on je bio odvraćen od Pravog puta, a lukavstvo faraonovo se završilo na njegovu štetu.
Ghafir 40:38
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِيٓ ءَامَنَ يَٰقَوۡمِ ٱتَّبِعُونِ أَهۡدِكُمۡ سَبِيلَ ٱلرَّشَادِ
And he who believed said, "O my people, follow me, I will guide you to the way of right conduct
I onda onaj vjernik reče: "O narode moj, ugledajte se u mene, ja ću vam na Pravi put ukazati!
Ghafir 40:39
يَٰقَوۡمِ إِنَّمَا هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡيَا مَتَٰعٞ وَإِنَّ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَ هِيَ دَارُ ٱلۡقَرَارِ
O my people, this worldly life is only [temporary] enjoyment, and indeed, the Hereafter - that is the home of [permanent] settlement
O narode moj, život na ovome svijetu samo je prolazno uživanje, a onaj svijet je, zaista, Kuća vječna.
Ghafir 40:40
مَنۡ عَمِلَ سَيِّئَةٗ فَلَا يُجۡزَىٰٓ إِلَّا مِثۡلَهَاۖ وَمَنۡ عَمِلَ صَٰلِحٗا مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوۡ أُنثَىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤۡمِنٞ فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ يَدۡخُلُونَ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ يُرۡزَقُونَ فِيهَا بِغَيۡرِ حِسَابٖ
Whoever does an evil deed will not be recompensed except by the like thereof; but whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - those will enter Paradise, being given provision therein without account
Ko učini zlo, biće prema njemu kažnjen, a ko učini dobro – bio muškarac ili žena, a vjernik je – u Džennet će; u njemu će imati u obilju svega, bez računa.
Ghafir 40:41
۞وَيَٰقَوۡمِ مَا لِيٓ أَدۡعُوكُمۡ إِلَى ٱلنَّجَوٰةِ وَتَدۡعُونَنِيٓ إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ
And O my people, how is it that I invite you to salvation while you invite me to the Fire
O narode moj, šta je ovo, ja vas pozivam da vas spasim, a vi mene pozivate u vatru:
Ghafir 40:42
تَدۡعُونَنِي لِأَكۡفُرَ بِٱللَّهِ وَأُشۡرِكَ بِهِۦ مَا لَيۡسَ لِي بِهِۦ عِلۡمٞ وَأَنَا۠ أَدۡعُوكُمۡ إِلَى ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡغَفَّـٰرِ
You invite me to disbelieve in Allah and associate with Him that of which I have no knowledge, and I invite you to the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver
pozivate me da ne vjerujem u Allaha i da prihvatim Njemu ravnim onoga o kome baš ništa ne znam, a ja vas pozivam Silnome, Onome koji mnogo prašta.
Ghafir 40:43
لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّمَا تَدۡعُونَنِيٓ إِلَيۡهِ لَيۡسَ لَهُۥ دَعۡوَةٞ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَلَا فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَأَنَّ مَرَدَّنَآ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَأَنَّ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ هُمۡ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ
Assuredly, that to which you invite me has no [response to a] supplication in this world or in the Hereafter; and indeed, our return is to Allah, and indeed, the transgressors will be companions of the Fire
Nema nimalo sumnje u to da se oni kojima me pozivate neće nikome ni na ovome ni na onome svijetu odazvati i da ćemo se Allahu vratiti i da će mnogobošci stanovnici u ognju biti.
Ghafir 40:44
فَسَتَذۡكُرُونَ مَآ أَقُولُ لَكُمۡۚ وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمۡرِيٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَصِيرُۢ بِٱلۡعِبَادِ
And you will remember what I [now] say to you, and I entrust my affair to Allah. Indeed, Allah is Seeing of [His] servants
Tada ćete se, sigurno, mojih riječi sjetiti! A ja Allahu prepuštam svoj slučaj; Allah, uistinu, robove Svoje vidi."
Ghafir 40:45
فَوَقَىٰهُ ٱللَّهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِ مَا مَكَرُواْۖ وَحَاقَ بِـَٔالِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ سُوٓءُ ٱلۡعَذَابِ
So Allah protected him from the evils they plotted, and the people of Pharaoh were enveloped by the worst of punishment
I Allah ga je sačuvao nevolje koju su mu oni snovali, a faraonove ljude zla kob zadesi.
Ghafir 40:46
ٱلنَّارُ يُعۡرَضُونَ عَلَيۡهَا غُدُوّٗا وَعَشِيّٗاۚ وَيَوۡمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ أَدۡخِلُوٓاْ ءَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ أَشَدَّ ٱلۡعَذَابِ
The Fire, they are exposed to it morning and evening. And the Day the Hour appears [it will be said], "Make the people of Pharaoh enter the severest punishment
Oni će se ujutro i navečer u vatri pržiti, a kada nastupi Čas: "Uvedite faraonove ljude u patnju najtežu!"
Ghafir 40:47
وَإِذۡ يَتَحَآجُّونَ فِي ٱلنَّارِ فَيَقُولُ ٱلضُّعَفَـٰٓؤُاْ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوٓاْ إِنَّا كُنَّا لَكُمۡ تَبَعٗا فَهَلۡ أَنتُم مُّغۡنُونَ عَنَّا نَصِيبٗا مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ
And [mention] when they will argue within the Fire, and the weak will say to those who had been arrogant, "Indeed, we were [only] your followers, so will you relieve us of a share of the Fire
I kada se u vatri budu prepirali, pa oni koji su bili potlačeni reknu glavešinama svojim: "Mi smo se za vama povodili, možete li nas makar malo vatre osloboditi?",
Ghafir 40:48
قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوٓاْ إِنَّا كُلّٞ فِيهَآ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَدۡ حَكَمَ بَيۡنَ ٱلۡعِبَادِ
Those who had been arrogant will say, "Indeed, all [of us] are in it. Indeed, Allah has judged between the servants
onda će glavešine reći: "Evo nas, svi smo u njoj, jer Allah je presudio robovima Svojim."
Ghafir 40:49
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِي ٱلنَّارِ لِخَزَنَةِ جَهَنَّمَ ٱدۡعُواْ رَبَّكُمۡ يُخَفِّفۡ عَنَّا يَوۡمٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ
And those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, "Supplicate your Lord to lighten for us a day from the punishment
I oni koji će u vatri biti govoriće stražarima džehennemskim: "Zamolite Gospodara svoga da nam bar jedan dan patnju ublaži!"
Ghafir 40:50
قَالُوٓاْ أَوَلَمۡ تَكُ تَأۡتِيكُمۡ رُسُلُكُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِۖ قَالُواْ بَلَىٰۚ قَالُواْ فَٱدۡعُواْۗ وَمَا دُعَـٰٓؤُاْ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَٰلٍ
They will say, "Did there not come to you your messengers with clear proofs?" They will say, "Yes." They will reply, "Then supplicate [yourselves], but the supplication of the disbelievers is not except in error
"A zar vam poslanici vaši nisu jasne dokaze donosili?" – upitaće oni. – "Jesu!" – odgovoriće. – "Molite onda vi!" – reći će oni. Ali će molba onih koji nisu vjerovali uzaludna biti.
Ghafir 40:51
إِنَّا لَنَنصُرُ رُسُلَنَا وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَيَوۡمَ يَقُومُ ٱلۡأَشۡهَٰدُ
Indeed, We will support Our messengers and those who believe during the life of this world and on the Day when the witnesses will stand
Mi ćemo, doista, pomoći poslanike Naše i vjernike u životu na ovome svijetu, a i na Dan kad se dignu svjedoci,
Ghafir 40:52
يَوۡمَ لَا يَنفَعُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ مَعۡذِرَتُهُمۡۖ وَلَهُمُ ٱللَّعۡنَةُ وَلَهُمۡ سُوٓءُ ٱلدَّارِ
The Day their excuse will not benefit the wrongdoers, and they will have the curse, and they will have the worst home
na Dan kada krivcima pravdanja njihova neće od koristi biti; njih će prokletstvo i najgore prebivalište čekati.
Ghafir 40:53
وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَا مُوسَى ٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَأَوۡرَثۡنَا بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
And We had certainly given Moses guidance, and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit the Scripture
Mi smo Musau uputstvo dali i sinovima Israilovim u nasljedstvo Knjigu ostavili
Ghafir 40:54
هُدٗى وَذِكۡرَىٰ لِأُوْلِي ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ
As guidance and a reminder for those of understanding
da bude putokaz i opomena onima koji pameti budu imali.
Ghafir 40:55
فَٱصۡبِرۡ إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقّٞ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لِذَنۢبِكَ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ بِٱلۡعَشِيِّ وَٱلۡإِبۡكَٰرِ
So be patient, [O Muhammad]. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And ask forgiveness for your sin and exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord in the evening and the morning
Zato ti budi strpljiv – Allahovo obećanje je istina – i moli da ti budu oprošteni tvoji grijesi, i Gospodara svoga krajem i početkom dana veličaj i hvali!
Ghafir 40:56
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُجَٰدِلُونَ فِيٓ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ بِغَيۡرِ سُلۡطَٰنٍ أَتَىٰهُمۡ إِن فِي صُدُورِهِمۡ إِلَّا كِبۡرٞ مَّا هُم بِبَٰلِغِيهِۚ فَٱسۡتَعِذۡ بِٱللَّهِۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡبَصِيرُ
Indeed, those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah without [any] authority having come to them - there is not within their breasts except pride, [the extent of] which they cannot reach. So seek refuge in Allah. Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Seeing
Oni koji o Allahovim znamenjima raspravljaju, iako im nikakav dokaz nije došao, u srcima njihovim je samo oholost koja ih neće dovesti do cilja željenog, zato moli od Allaha zaštitu, jer On, uistinu, sve čuje i sve vidi.
Ghafir 40:57
لَخَلۡقُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَكۡبَرُ مِنۡ خَلۡقِ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ
The creation of the heavens and earth is greater than the creation of mankind, but most of the people do not know
Stvaranje nebesa i Zemlje je, sigurno, veće nego stvaranje roda ljudskog, ali većina ljudi ne zna.
Ghafir 40:58
وَمَا يَسۡتَوِي ٱلۡأَعۡمَىٰ وَٱلۡبَصِيرُ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ وَلَا ٱلۡمُسِيٓءُۚ قَلِيلٗا مَّا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ
And not equal are the blind and the seeing, nor are those who believe and do righteous deeds and the evildoer. Little do you remember
Nisu isto slijepac i onaj koji vidi, nisu isto vjernici koji dobra djela čine i zlotvori. – Kako vas malo prima pouku!
Ghafir 40:59
إِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَأٓتِيَةٞ لَّا رَيۡبَ فِيهَا وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ
Indeed, the Hour is coming - no doubt about it - but most of the people do not believe
Doći će Čas oživljenja, u to nema nimalo sumnje, ali većina ljudi neće da vjeruje.
Ghafir 40:60
وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ٱدۡعُونِيٓ أَسۡتَجِبۡ لَكُمۡۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ عَنۡ عِبَادَتِي سَيَدۡخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ
And your Lord says, "Call upon Me; I will respond to you." Indeed, those who disdain My worship will enter Hell [rendered] contemptible
Gospodar vaš je rekao: "Pozovite Me i zamolite, Ja ću vam se odazvati! Oni koji iz oholosti neće da Mi se klanjaju – ući će, sigurno, u Džehennem poniženi."
Ghafir 40:61
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيۡلَ لِتَسۡكُنُواْ فِيهِ وَٱلنَّهَارَ مُبۡصِرًاۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَذُو فَضۡلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَشۡكُرُونَ
It is Allah who made for you the night that you may rest therein and the day giving sight. Indeed, Allah is full of bounty to the people, but most of the people are not grateful
Allah vam je dao noć da se u njoj odmarate, a dan da vidite. Allah je neizmjerno dobar prema ljudima, ali većina ljudi neće da zahvaljuje.
Ghafir 40:62
ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمۡ خَٰلِقُ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ لَّآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤۡفَكُونَ
That is Allah, your Lord, Creator of all things; there is no deity except Him, so how are you deluded
To vam je, eto, Allah, Gospodar vaš, Stvoritelj svega, drugog boga osim Njega nema, pa kuda se onda odmećete?
Ghafir 40:63
كَذَٰلِكَ يُؤۡفَكُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ يَجۡحَدُونَ
Thus were those [before you] deluded who were rejecting the signs of Allah
Tako su se odmetali i oni koji su Allahove dokaze poricali.
Ghafir 40:64
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ قَرَارٗا وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بِنَآءٗ وَصَوَّرَكُمۡ فَأَحۡسَنَ صُوَرَكُمۡ وَرَزَقَكُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمۡۖ فَتَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
It is Allah who made for you the earth a place of settlement and the sky a ceiling and formed you and perfected your forms and provided you with good things. That is Allah, your Lord; then blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds
Allah vam je učinio Zemlju prebivalištem, a nebo zdanjem, i On vam obličje daje i likove vaše čini lijepim, i jelima vas opskrbljuje ukusnim. To je Allah, Gospodar vaš, i neka je uzvišen Allah, Gospodar svjetova!
Ghafir 40:65
هُوَ ٱلۡحَيُّ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَٱدۡعُوهُ مُخۡلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَۗ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
He is the Ever-Living; there is no deity except Him, so call upon Him, [being] sincere to Him in religion. [All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds
On je Živi, nema boga osim Njega, zato se samo Njemu klanjajte, iskreno Mu ispovijedajući vjeru: "Neka je hvaljen Allah, Gospodar svjetova!"
Ghafir 40:66
۞قُلۡ إِنِّي نُهِيتُ أَنۡ أَعۡبُدَ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ لَمَّا جَآءَنِيَ ٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتُ مِن رَّبِّي وَأُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أُسۡلِمَ لِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, I have been forbidden to worship those you call upon besides Allah once the clear proofs have come to me from my Lord, and I have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds
Reci: "Meni je zabranjeno, o tome su mi došli jasni dokazi od Gospodara moga, da se klanjam onima kojima se, pored Allaha, klanjate, a naređeno mi je da se pokoravam Gospodaru svjetova.
Ghafir 40:67
هُوَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٖ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطۡفَةٖ ثُمَّ مِنۡ عَلَقَةٖ ثُمَّ يُخۡرِجُكُمۡ طِفۡلٗا ثُمَّ لِتَبۡلُغُوٓاْ أَشُدَّكُمۡ ثُمَّ لِتَكُونُواْ شُيُوخٗاۚ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُتَوَفَّىٰ مِن قَبۡلُۖ وَلِتَبۡلُغُوٓاْ أَجَلٗا مُّسَمّٗى وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ
It is He who created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot; then He brings you out as a child; then [He develops you] that you reach your [time of] maturity, then [further] that you become elders. And among you is he who is taken in death before [that], so that you reach a specified term; and perhaps you will use reason
On vas stvara od zemlje, zatim od kapi sjemena, zatim od ugruška, zatim čini da se kao dojenčad rađate, i da do muževnog doba stignete, i da starci postanete – a neki od vas umiru prije – i da do suđenoga časa poživite kako biste mogli shvatiti.
Ghafir 40:68
هُوَ ٱلَّذِي يُحۡيِۦ وَيُمِيتُۖ فَإِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمۡرٗا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ
He it is who gives life and causes death; and when He decrees a matter, He but says to it, "Be," and it is
Život i smrt Njegovo su djelo! A kad nešto odluči, samo za to rekne: 'Budi!' – i ono bude."
Ghafir 40:69
أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يُجَٰدِلُونَ فِيٓ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ أَنَّىٰ يُصۡرَفُونَ
Do you not consider those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah - how are they averted
Zar ne vidiš kako se okreću oni koji o Allahovim dokazima raspravljaju?
Ghafir 40:70
ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَبِمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا بِهِۦ رُسُلَنَاۖ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ
Those who deny the Book and that with which We sent Our messengers - they are going to know
Oni koji poriču Knjigu i ono što smo slali po poslanicima – saznaće posljedice toga
Ghafir 40:71
إِذِ ٱلۡأَغۡلَٰلُ فِيٓ أَعۡنَٰقِهِمۡ وَٱلسَّلَٰسِلُ يُسۡحَبُونَ
When the shackles are around their necks and the chains; they will be dragged
kada sa okovima o vratu i sindžirima budu vučeni
Ghafir 40:72
فِي ٱلۡحَمِيمِ ثُمَّ فِي ٱلنَّارِ يُسۡجَرُونَ
In boiling water; then in the Fire they will be filled [with flame]
po ključaloj vodi, a zatim u vatri prženi,
Ghafir 40:73
ثُمَّ قِيلَ لَهُمۡ أَيۡنَ مَا كُنتُمۡ تُشۡرِكُونَ
Then it will be said to them, "Where is that which you used to associate [with Him in worship]
i potom upitani: "Gdje su oni kojima ste se klanjali,
Ghafir 40:74
مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِۖ قَالُواْ ضَلُّواْ عَنَّا بَل لَّمۡ نَكُن نَّدۡعُواْ مِن قَبۡلُ شَيۡـٔٗاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
Other than Allah?" They will say, "They have departed from us; rather, we did not used to invoke previously anything." Thus does Allah put astray the disbelievers
a ne Allahu?" – "Izgubili su nam se iz vida" – odgovoriće – "ta mi se prije, ustvari, nismo nikome ni klanjali." – Eto tako Allah ostavlja u zabludi nevjernike.
Ghafir 40:75
ذَٰلِكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَفۡرَحُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ بِغَيۡرِ ٱلۡحَقِّ وَبِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَمۡرَحُونَ
[The angels will say], "That was because you used to exult upon the earth without right and you used to behave insolently
To vam je zato što ste bez ikakva osnova na Zemlji bahati bili i što ste likovali.
Ghafir 40:76
ٱدۡخُلُوٓاْ أَبۡوَٰبَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَاۖ فَبِئۡسَ مَثۡوَى ٱلۡمُتَكَبِّرِينَ
Enter the gates of Hell to abide eternally therein, and wretched is the residence of the arrogant
Ulazite kroz kapije Džehennema, u njemu ćete vječno ostati – a ružno je prebivalište oholih!
Ghafir 40:77
فَٱصۡبِرۡ إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقّٞۚ فَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعۡضَ ٱلَّذِي نَعِدُهُمۡ أَوۡ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَيۡنَا يُرۡجَعُونَ
So be patient, [O Muhammad]; indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And whether We show you some of what We have promised them or We take you in death, it is to Us they will be returned
Zato ti budi strpljiv, Allahova prijetnja će se, sigurno, obistiniti! Bilo da ti pokažemo dio onoga čime im Mi prijetimo, bilo da ti prije život oduzmemo, Nama će se oni vratiti.
Ghafir 40:78
وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا رُسُلٗا مِّن قَبۡلِكَ مِنۡهُم مَّن قَصَصۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ وَمِنۡهُم مَّن لَّمۡ نَقۡصُصۡ عَلَيۡكَۗ وَمَا كَانَ لِرَسُولٍ أَن يَأۡتِيَ بِـَٔايَةٍ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِۚ فَإِذَا جَآءَ أَمۡرُ ٱللَّهِ قُضِيَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَخَسِرَ هُنَالِكَ ٱلۡمُبۡطِلُونَ
And We have already sent messengers before you. Among them are those [whose stories] We have related to you, and among them are those [whose stories] We have not related to you. And it was not for any messenger to bring a sign [or verse] except by permission of Allah. So when the command of Allah comes, it will be concluded in truth, and the falsifiers will thereupon lose [all]
I prije tebe smo poslanike slali, o nekima od njih smo ti kazivali, a o nekima ti nismo kazivali. I nijedan poslanik nije mogao učiniti nikakvo čudo bez Allahove volje. A kad se Allahova prijetnja ispuni, biće presuđeno po pravdi i tada će nevaljali nastradati.
Ghafir 40:79
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمَ لِتَرۡكَبُواْ مِنۡهَا وَمِنۡهَا تَأۡكُلُونَ
It is Allah who made for you the grazing animals upon which you ride, and some of them you eat
Allah je za vas stvorio životinje, da na nekima jašete, a neke da jedete,
Ghafir 40:80
وَلَكُمۡ فِيهَا مَنَٰفِعُ وَلِتَبۡلُغُواْ عَلَيۡهَا حَاجَةٗ فِي صُدُورِكُمۡ وَعَلَيۡهَا وَعَلَى ٱلۡفُلۡكِ تُحۡمَلُونَ
And for you therein are [other] benefits and that you may realize upon them a need which is in your breasts; and upon them and upon ships you are carried
Vi od njih koristi imate i vi na njima za vas važne potrebe ostvarujete – i na njima i na lađama vi se vozite.
Ghafir 40:81
وَيُرِيكُمۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ فَأَيَّ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ تُنكِرُونَ
And He shows you His signs. So which of the signs of Allah do you deny
On vam pokazuje dokaze moći Svoje, pa koje od Allahovih dokaza ne priznajete?
Ghafir 40:82
أَفَلَمۡ يَسِيرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَيَنظُرُواْ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۚ كَانُوٓاْ أَكۡثَرَ مِنۡهُمۡ وَأَشَدَّ قُوَّةٗ وَءَاثَارٗا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَمَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ
Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those before them? They were more numerous than themselves and greater in strength and in impression on the land, but they were not availed by what they used to earn
Zašto oni ne putuju po svijetu, pa da vide kako su završili oni prije njih? Oni su bili od njih mnogobrojniji i jači i više spomenika su na Zemlji ostavili, i ništa im nije koristilo ono što su stekli.
Ghafir 40:83
فَلَمَّا جَآءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَرِحُواْ بِمَا عِندَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ
And when their messengers came to them with clear proofs, they [merely] rejoiced in what they had of knowledge, but they were enveloped by what they used to ridicule
Kada su im poslanici njihovi jasne dokaze donosili, oni su se znanjem koje su imali dičili, i snašlo ih je ono čemu su se stalno rugali.
Ghafir 40:84
فَلَمَّا رَأَوۡاْ بَأۡسَنَا قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَحۡدَهُۥ وَكَفَرۡنَا بِمَا كُنَّا بِهِۦ مُشۡرِكِينَ
And when they saw Our punishment, they said," We believe in Allah alone and disbelieve in that which we used to associate with Him
A kad bi kaznu Našu doživjeli, onda bi govorili: "Mi vjerujemo u Allaha, u Njega jedinog, a odričemo se onih koje smo Njemu ravnim smatrali!"
Ghafir 40:85
فَلَمۡ يَكُ يَنفَعُهُمۡ إِيمَٰنُهُمۡ لَمَّا رَأَوۡاْ بَأۡسَنَاۖ سُنَّتَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّتِي قَدۡ خَلَتۡ فِي عِبَادِهِۦۖ وَخَسِرَ هُنَالِكَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ
But never did their faith benefit them once they saw Our punishment. [It is] the established way of Allah which has preceded among His servants. And the disbelievers thereupon lost [all]
Ali im vjerovanje njihovo, kada bi kaznu Našu doživjeli, ne bi nimalo bilo od koristi, prema Allahovom zakonu koji je vrijedio za sve robove Njegove koji su bili i nestali – i tada bi nevjernici stradali.
