Surah Sad (38) — The Letter "Saad" · ص
Meccan surah, 88 ayat.
The trials of Dawud and Sulayman, and the arrogance of Iblis.
Sad 38:1
صٓۚ وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ ذِي ٱلذِّكۡرِ
Sad. By the Qur'an containing reminder
Sād. Tako Mi Kur'ana slavnog,
Sad 38:2
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فِي عِزَّةٖ وَشِقَاقٖ
But those who disbelieve are in pride and dissension
doista su bahati i inadžije oni koji neće da vjeruju!
Sad 38:3
كَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّن قَرۡنٖ فَنَادَواْ وَّلَاتَ حِينَ مَنَاصٖ
How many a generation have We destroyed before them, and they [then] called out; but it was not a time for escape
Koliko smo Mi naroda prije njih uništili. I oni su za pomoć vapili, ali je bilo kasno!
Sad 38:4
وَعَجِبُوٓاْ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرٞ مِّنۡهُمۡۖ وَقَالَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا سَٰحِرٞ كَذَّابٌ
And they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves. And the disbelievers say, "This is a magician and a liar
Oni se čude što im je jedan od njih došao da ih opominje, i govore nevjernici: "Ovo je čarobnjak, lažov!
Sad 38:5
أَجَعَلَ ٱلۡأٓلِهَةَ إِلَٰهٗا وَٰحِدًاۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَشَيۡءٌ عُجَابٞ
Has he made the gods [only] one God? Indeed, this is a curious thing
Zar on da bogove svede na Boga jednog? To je, zaista, nešto veoma čudno!"
Sad 38:6
وَٱنطَلَقَ ٱلۡمَلَأُ مِنۡهُمۡ أَنِ ٱمۡشُواْ وَٱصۡبِرُواْ عَلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِكُمۡۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَشَيۡءٞ يُرَادُ
And the eminent among them went forth, [saying], "Continue, and be patient over [the defense of] your gods. Indeed, this is a thing intended
I onī ugledni između njih krenuše: "Idite i ostanite pri klanjanju bogovima svojim, ovim se, uistinu, nešto veliko hoće!
Sad 38:7
مَا سَمِعۡنَا بِهَٰذَا فِي ٱلۡمِلَّةِ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا ٱخۡتِلَٰقٌ
We have not heard of this in the latest religion. This is not but a fabrication
Za ovo nismo čuli u vjeri predaka naših, ovo nije ništa drugo već namještena laž;
Sad 38:8
أَءُنزِلَ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلذِّكۡرُ مِنۢ بَيۡنِنَاۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ فِي شَكّٖ مِّن ذِكۡرِيۚ بَل لَّمَّا يَذُوقُواْ عَذَابِ
Has the message been revealed to him out of [all of] us?" Rather, they are in doubt about My message. Rather, they have not yet tasted My punishment
zašto baš njemu, između nas, da bude poslana Opomena?!" Ali, oni u Opomenu Moju sumnjaju zato što kaznu Moju nisu iskusili.
Sad 38:9
أَمۡ عِندَهُمۡ خَزَآئِنُ رَحۡمَةِ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡوَهَّابِ
Or do they have the depositories of the mercy of your Lord, the Exalted in Might, the Bestower
Zar su u njih riznice milosti Gospodara tvoga, Silnoga i Darežljivog?
Sad 38:10
أَمۡ لَهُم مُّلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَاۖ فَلۡيَرۡتَقُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَسۡبَٰبِ
Or is theirs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend through [any] ways of access
Zar oni imaju vlast na nebesima i na Zemlji i nad onim što je između njih? – neka se, onda, uz ljestve popnu.
Sad 38:11
جُندٞ مَّا هُنَالِكَ مَهۡزُومٞ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَحۡزَابِ
[They are but] soldiers [who will be] defeated there among the companies [of disbelievers]
Oni predstavljaju neznatnu urotničku vojsku koja će tamo biti poražena.
Sad 38:12
كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٖ وَعَادٞ وَفِرۡعَوۡنُ ذُو ٱلۡأَوۡتَادِ
The people of Noah denied before them, and [the tribe of] 'Aad and Pharaoh, the owner of stakes
I prije njih su narod Nuhov, i Ad, i faraon, vlasnik građevina ogromnih, poricali,
Sad 38:13
وَثَمُودُ وَقَوۡمُ لُوطٖ وَأَصۡحَٰبُ لۡـَٔيۡكَةِۚ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلۡأَحۡزَابُ
And [the tribe of] Thamud and the people of Lot and the companions of the thicket. Those are the companies
i Semud i Lutov narod i stanovnici Ejke; oni su se protiv poslanika urotili;
Sad 38:14
إِن كُلٌّ إِلَّا كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ عِقَابِ
Each of them denied the messengers, so My penalty was justified
svi su oni poslanike u laž utjerivali i kaznu Moju zaslužili.
Sad 38:15
وَمَا يَنظُرُ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ إِلَّا صَيۡحَةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗ مَّا لَهَا مِن فَوَاقٖ
And these [disbelievers] await not but one blast [of the Horn]; for it there will be no delay
A i ovi ne čekaju do jedan zvuk Roga koji neće biti potrebno ponoviti,
Sad 38:16
وَقَالُواْ رَبَّنَا عَجِّل لَّنَا قِطَّنَا قَبۡلَ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡحِسَابِ
And they say, "Our Lord, hasten for us our share [of the punishment] before the Day of Account
i govore: "Gospodaru naš, požuri, kazni nas, prije Dana u kojem će se račun polagati!"
Sad 38:17
ٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَٱذۡكُرۡ عَبۡدَنَا دَاوُۥدَ ذَا ٱلۡأَيۡدِۖ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ
Be patient over what they say and remember Our servant, David, the possessor of strength; indeed, he was one who repeatedly turned back [to Allah]
Ti otrpi ono što oni govore i sjeti se roba Našeg Davuda, čvrstog u vjeri, koji se uvijek Allahu obraćao.
Sad 38:18
إِنَّا سَخَّرۡنَا ٱلۡجِبَالَ مَعَهُۥ يُسَبِّحۡنَ بِٱلۡعَشِيِّ وَٱلۡإِشۡرَاقِ
Indeed, We subjected the mountains [to praise] with him, exalting [Allah] in the [late] afternoon and [after] sunrise
Mi smo brda potčinili da zajedno s njim hvale Allaha prije nego što Sunce zađe i poslije pošto grane,
Sad 38:19
وَٱلطَّيۡرَ مَحۡشُورَةٗۖ كُلّٞ لَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٞ
And the birds were assembled, all with him repeating [praises]
a i ptice okupljene – svi su oni zbog njegova hvaljenja hvalu ponavljali.
Sad 38:20
وَشَدَدۡنَا مُلۡكَهُۥ وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ ٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ وَفَصۡلَ ٱلۡخِطَابِ
And We strengthened his kingdom and gave him wisdom and discernment in speech
I učvrstili smo carstvo njegovo i dali mu vjerovjesništvo i sposobnost da rasuđuje.
Sad 38:21
۞وَهَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ نَبَؤُاْ ٱلۡخَصۡمِ إِذۡ تَسَوَّرُواْ ٱلۡمِحۡرَابَ
And has there come to you the news of the adversaries, when they climbed over the wall of [his] prayer chamber
A da li je do tebe doprla vijest o parničarima kada su preko zida hrama prešli,
Sad 38:22
إِذۡ دَخَلُواْ عَلَىٰ دَاوُۥدَ فَفَزِعَ مِنۡهُمۡۖ قَالُواْ لَا تَخَفۡۖ خَصۡمَانِ بَغَىٰ بَعۡضُنَا عَلَىٰ بَعۡضٖ فَٱحۡكُم بَيۡنَنَا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَا تُشۡطِطۡ وَٱهۡدِنَآ إِلَىٰ سَوَآءِ ٱلصِّرَٰطِ
When they entered upon David and he was alarmed by them? They said, "Fear not. [We are] two adversaries, one of whom has wronged the other, so judge between us with truth and do not exceed [it] and guide us to the sound path
kad su Davudu upali, pa se on njih uplašio. "Ne boj se" – rekli su – "mi smo dvojica parničara, jedan drugom smo nažao učinili, pa nam po pravdi presudi; ne budi pristrasan, i na Pravi put nas uputi.
Sad 38:23
إِنَّ هَٰذَآ أَخِي لَهُۥ تِسۡعٞ وَتِسۡعُونَ نَعۡجَةٗ وَلِيَ نَعۡجَةٞ وَٰحِدَةٞ فَقَالَ أَكۡفِلۡنِيهَا وَعَزَّنِي فِي ٱلۡخِطَابِ
Indeed this, my brother, has ninety-nine ewes, and I have one ewe; so he said, 'Entrust her to me,' and he overpowered me in speech
Ovaj prijatelj moj ima devedeset i devet ovaca, a ja samo jednu, i on mi reče: 'Daj ti nju meni!' – i u prepirci me pobijedi."
Sad 38:24
قَالَ لَقَدۡ ظَلَمَكَ بِسُؤَالِ نَعۡجَتِكَ إِلَىٰ نِعَاجِهِۦۖ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡخُلَطَآءِ لَيَبۡغِي بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضٍ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ وَقَلِيلٞ مَّا هُمۡۗ وَظَنَّ دَاوُۥدُ أَنَّمَا فَتَنَّـٰهُ فَٱسۡتَغۡفَرَ رَبَّهُۥ وَخَرَّۤ رَاكِعٗاۤ وَأَنَابَ۩
[David] said, "He has certainly wronged you in demanding your ewe [in addition] to his ewes. And indeed, many associates oppress one another, except for those who believe and do righteous deeds - and few are they." And David became certain that We had tried him, and he asked forgiveness of his Lord and fell down bowing [in prostration] and turned in repentance [to Allah]
"Učinio ti je, doista, krivo!" – reče Davud – "time što je tražio da tvoju ovcu doda ovcama svojim; mnogi ortaci čine nepravdu jedni drugima, ne čine jedino oni koji vjeruju i rade dobra djela; a takvih je malo." I Davud se uvjeri da smo Mi baš njega na kušnju stavili, pa oprost od Gospodara svoga zamoli, pade licem na tle i pokaja se.
Sad 38:25
فَغَفَرۡنَا لَهُۥ ذَٰلِكَۖ وَإِنَّ لَهُۥ عِندَنَا لَزُلۡفَىٰ وَحُسۡنَ مَـَٔابٖ
So We forgave him that; and indeed, for him is nearness to Us and a good place of return
I Mi smo mu to oprostili, i on je, doista, blizak Nama i divno prebivalište ga čeka.
Sad 38:26
يَٰدَاوُۥدُ إِنَّا جَعَلۡنَٰكَ خَلِيفَةٗ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱحۡكُم بَيۡنَ ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعِ ٱلۡهَوَىٰ فَيُضِلَّكَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَضِلُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٞ شَدِيدُۢ بِمَا نَسُواْ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡحِسَابِ
[We said], "O David, indeed We have made you a successor upon the earth, so judge between the people in truth and do not follow [your own] desire, as it will lead you astray from the way of Allah." Indeed, those who go astray from the way of Allah will have a severe punishment for having forgotten the Day of Account
O Davude, Mi smo te namjesnikom na Zemlji učinili, zato sudi ljudima po pravdi i ne povodi se za strašću da te ne odvede s Allahova puta; one koji skreću s Allahova puta čeka teška patnja na onome svijetu zato što su zaboravljali na Dan u kome će se račun polagati.
Sad 38:27
وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا بَٰطِلٗاۚ ذَٰلِكَ ظَنُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْۚ فَوَيۡلٞ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ
And We did not create the heaven and the earth and that between them aimlessly. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve, so woe to those who disbelieve from the Fire
Mi nismo uzalud stvorili nebo i Zemlju i ono što je između njih; tako misle nevjernici, pa teško nevjernicima kad budu u vatri!
Sad 38:28
أَمۡ نَجۡعَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ كَٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَمۡ نَجۡعَلُ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ كَٱلۡفُجَّارِ
Or should we treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like corrupters in the land? Or should We treat those who fear Allah like the wicked
Zar ćemo postupiti s onima koji vjeruju i čine dobro kao s onima koji prave nered na Zemlji, ili, zar ćemo postupiti s onima koji se grijeha klone isto kao i s grješnicima?
Sad 38:29
كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ إِلَيۡكَ مُبَٰرَكٞ لِّيَدَّبَّرُوٓاْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُوْلُواْ ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ
[This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded
Knjiga koju ti objavljujemo blagoslovljena je, da bi oni o riječima njezinim razmislili i da bi oni koji su razumom obdareni pouku primili.
Sad 38:30
وَوَهَبۡنَا لِدَاوُۥدَ سُلَيۡمَٰنَۚ نِعۡمَ ٱلۡعَبۡدُ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ
And to David We gave Solomon. An excellent servant, indeed he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]
Mi smo Davudu poklonili Sulejmana, divan je on rob bio, i mnogo se kajao!
Sad 38:31
إِذۡ عُرِضَ عَلَيۡهِ بِٱلۡعَشِيِّ ٱلصَّـٰفِنَٰتُ ٱلۡجِيَادُ
[Mention] when there were exhibited before him in the afternoon the poised [standing] racehorses
Kad su jedne večeri preda nj bili izvedeni punokrvni konji koji su na tri noge stajali, a četvrtom jedva zemlju doticali,
Sad 38:32
فَقَالَ إِنِّيٓ أَحۡبَبۡتُ حُبَّ ٱلۡخَيۡرِ عَن ذِكۡرِ رَبِّي حَتَّىٰ تَوَارَتۡ بِٱلۡحِجَابِ
And he said, "Indeed, I gave preference to the love of good [things] over the remembrance of my Lord until the sun disappeared into the curtain [of darkness]
on reče: "Umjesto da mislim na Gospodara svoga, ja pokazujem ljubav prema blagu!" – i oni se izgubiše iz vida.
Sad 38:33
رُدُّوهَا عَلَيَّۖ فَطَفِقَ مَسۡحَۢا بِٱلسُّوقِ وَٱلۡأَعۡنَاقِ
[He said], "Return them to me," and set about striking [their] legs and necks
"Vratite mi ih!" – i on ih poče gladiti po nogama i vratovima.
Sad 38:34
وَلَقَدۡ فَتَنَّا سُلَيۡمَٰنَ وَأَلۡقَيۡنَا عَلَىٰ كُرۡسِيِّهِۦ جَسَدٗا ثُمَّ أَنَابَ
And We certainly tried Solomon and placed on his throne a body; then he returned
Mi smo Sulejmana u iskušenje doveli i njegovo bolesno tijelo na prijestolju zadržali, ali je poslije ozdravio.
Sad 38:35
قَالَ رَبِّ ٱغۡفِرۡ لِي وَهَبۡ لِي مُلۡكٗا لَّا يَنۢبَغِي لِأَحَدٖ مِّنۢ بَعۡدِيٓۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلۡوَهَّابُ
He said, "My Lord, forgive me and grant me a kingdom such as will not belong to anyone after me. Indeed, You are the Bestower
"Gospodaru moj" – rekao je – "oprosti mi i daruj mi vlast kakvu niko, osim mene, neće imati! Ti, uistinu, bogato daruješ!"
Sad 38:36
فَسَخَّرۡنَا لَهُ ٱلرِّيحَ تَجۡرِي بِأَمۡرِهِۦ رُخَآءً حَيۡثُ أَصَابَ
So We subjected to him the wind blowing by his command, gently, wherever he directed
I Mi smo dali da mu služe: vjetar – koji je prema zapovijedi njegovoj blago puhao onamo kuda je on htio –
Sad 38:37
وَٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ كُلَّ بَنَّآءٖ وَغَوَّاصٖ
And [also] the devils [of jinn] - every builder and diver
i šejtani, sve graditelji i gnjurci,
Sad 38:38
وَءَاخَرِينَ مُقَرَّنِينَ فِي ٱلۡأَصۡفَادِ
And others bound together in shackles
i drugi u bukagije okovani.
Sad 38:39
هَٰذَا عَطَآؤُنَا فَٱمۡنُنۡ أَوۡ أَمۡسِكۡ بِغَيۡرِ حِسَابٖ
[We said], "This is Our gift, so grant or withhold without account
"Ovo je Naš dar, pa ti oslobodi ili zadrži, nećeš zbog toga odgovarati!"
Sad 38:40
وَإِنَّ لَهُۥ عِندَنَا لَزُلۡفَىٰ وَحُسۡنَ مَـَٔابٖ
And indeed, for him is nearness to Us and a good place of return
On je, doista, blizak Nama i čeka ga krasno prebivalište.
Sad 38:41
وَٱذۡكُرۡ عَبۡدَنَآ أَيُّوبَ إِذۡ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ بِنُصۡبٖ وَعَذَابٍ
And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment
I sjeti se roba Našeg Ejjuba kada je Gospodaru svome zavapio: "Šejtan me na zlo navraća i misli lažne mi uliva!"
Sad 38:42
ٱرۡكُضۡ بِرِجۡلِكَۖ هَٰذَا مُغۡتَسَلُۢ بَارِدٞ وَشَرَابٞ
[So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for] a cool bath and drink
"Udari nogom o zemlju – eto hladne vode za kupanje i piće!" –
Sad 38:43
وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهُۥٓ أَهۡلَهُۥ وَمِثۡلَهُم مَّعَهُمۡ رَحۡمَةٗ مِّنَّا وَذِكۡرَىٰ لِأُوْلِي ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ
And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding
i Mi smo mu iz milosti Naše čeljad njegovu darovali i još toliko uz njih, da bude pouka za one koji imaju pameti –
Sad 38:44
وَخُذۡ بِيَدِكَ ضِغۡثٗا فَٱضۡرِب بِّهِۦ وَلَا تَحۡنَثۡۗ إِنَّا وَجَدۡنَٰهُ صَابِرٗاۚ نِّعۡمَ ٱلۡعَبۡدُ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٞ
[We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]
"I uzmi rukom svojom snop i njime udari, samo zakletvu ne prekrši!" Mi smo znali da je on izdržljiv; divan je rob on bio i mnogo se kajao!
Sad 38:45
وَٱذۡكُرۡ عِبَٰدَنَآ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَإِسۡحَٰقَ وَيَعۡقُوبَ أُوْلِي ٱلۡأَيۡدِي وَٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرِ
And remember Our servants, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - those of strength and [religious] vision
I sjeti se robova Naših Ibrahima i Ishaka i Jakuba, sve u vjeri čvrstih i dalekovidnih.
Sad 38:46
إِنَّآ أَخۡلَصۡنَٰهُم بِخَالِصَةٖ ذِكۡرَى ٱلدَّارِ
Indeed, We chose them for an exclusive quality: remembrance of the home [of the Hereafter]
Mi ih posebno obdarismo vrlinom jednom: da im je uvijek bio na umu onaj svijet;
Sad 38:47
وَإِنَّهُمۡ عِندَنَا لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُصۡطَفَيۡنَ ٱلۡأَخۡيَارِ
And indeed they are, to Us, among the chosen and outstanding
i oni su, zaista, u Nas od onih odabranih dobrih ljudi.
Sad 38:48
وَٱذۡكُرۡ إِسۡمَٰعِيلَ وَٱلۡيَسَعَ وَذَا ٱلۡكِفۡلِۖ وَكُلّٞ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَخۡيَارِ
And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhul-Kifl, and all are among the outstanding
I sjeti se Ismaila i Eljese'a i Zulkifla, svi su oni bili dobri.
Sad 38:49
هَٰذَا ذِكۡرٞۚ وَإِنَّ لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ لَحُسۡنَ مَـَٔابٖ
This is a reminder. And indeed, for the righteous is a good place of return
Ovo je lijep spomen! A one koji se grijeha budu klonili čeka divno prebivalište:
Sad 38:50
جَنَّـٰتِ عَدۡنٖ مُّفَتَّحَةٗ لَّهُمُ ٱلۡأَبۡوَٰبُ
Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened to them
edenski vrtovi, čije će kapije biti za njih otvorene,
Sad 38:51
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ فِيهَا يَدۡعُونَ فِيهَا بِفَٰكِهَةٖ كَثِيرَةٖ وَشَرَابٖ
Reclining within them, they will call therein for abundant fruit and drink
u kojima će se odmarati, i raznovrsno voće i piće tražiti.
Sad 38:52
۞وَعِندَهُمۡ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرۡفِ أَتۡرَابٌ
And with them will be women limiting [their] glances and of equal age
Pored njih biće hurije, istih godina, koje će preda se gledati.
Sad 38:53
هَٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡحِسَابِ
This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account
"To je ono što vam se obećava za Dan u kome će se račun polagati;
Sad 38:54
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَرِزۡقُنَا مَا لَهُۥ مِن نَّفَادٍ
Indeed, this is Our provision; for it there is no depletion
to će, doista, blagodat Naša biti, koja nikada neće prestajati!"
Sad 38:55
هَٰذَاۚ وَإِنَّ لِلطَّـٰغِينَ لَشَرَّ مَـَٔابٖ
This [is so]. But indeed, for the transgressors is an evil place of return
Eto toliko! A one koji budu zlo činili čeka najgore prebivalište:
Sad 38:56
جَهَنَّمَ يَصۡلَوۡنَهَا فَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمِهَادُ
Hell, which they will [enter to] burn, and wretched is the resting place
Džehennem, u kojem će gorjeti; a grozne li postelje!
Sad 38:57
هَٰذَا فَلۡيَذُوقُوهُ حَمِيمٞ وَغَسَّاقٞ
This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence
Eto toliko! Pa neka okušaju vodu ključalu i kapljevinu smrdljivu
Sad 38:58
وَءَاخَرُ مِن شَكۡلِهِۦٓ أَزۡوَٰجٌ
And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds
i druge slične ovima muke, mnogostruke.
Sad 38:59
هَٰذَا فَوۡجٞ مُّقۡتَحِمٞ مَّعَكُمۡ لَا مَرۡحَبَۢا بِهِمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ صَالُواْ ٱلنَّارِ
[Its inhabitants will say], "This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire
"Ova gomila će zajedno s vama tiskajući se u Džehennem ući!" – "Ne bilo im prostrano! U vatri će oni, doista, gorjeti!"
Sad 38:60
قَالُواْ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ لَا مَرۡحَبَۢا بِكُمۡۖ أَنتُمۡ قَدَّمۡتُمُوهُ لَنَاۖ فَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡقَرَارُ
They will say, "Nor you! No welcome for you. You, [our leaders], brought this upon us, and wretched is the settlement
"Vama ne bilo prostrano!" – reći će oni – "vi ste nam ovo pripremili, a grozna li boravišta!"
Sad 38:61
قَالُواْ رَبَّنَا مَن قَدَّمَ لَنَا هَٰذَا فَزِدۡهُ عَذَابٗا ضِعۡفٗا فِي ٱلنَّارِ
They will say, "Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us - increase for him double punishment in the Fire
"Gospodaru naš" – reći će – "udvostruči patnju u vatri onima koji su nam ovo priredili!"
Sad 38:62
وَقَالُواْ مَا لَنَا لَا نَرَىٰ رِجَالٗا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَشۡرَارِ
And they will say, "Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst
I govoriće: "Zašto ne vidimo ljude koje smo u zle ubrajali
Sad 38:63
أَتَّخَذۡنَٰهُمۡ سِخۡرِيًّا أَمۡ زَاغَتۡ عَنۡهُمُ ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرُ
Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them
i koje smo ismijavali? Da nam se nisu iz vida izgubili?"
Sad 38:64
إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَحَقّٞ تَخَاصُمُ أَهۡلِ ٱلنَّارِ
Indeed, that is truth - the quarreling of the people of the Fire
Istina je, sigurno, da će se stanovnici Džehennema među sobom raspravljati.
Sad 38:65
قُلۡ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ مُنذِرٞۖ وَمَا مِنۡ إِلَٰهٍ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡوَٰحِدُ ٱلۡقَهَّارُ
Say, [O Muhammad], "I am only a warner, and there is not any deity except Allah, the One, the Prevailing
Reci: "Ja samo opominjem; nema boga osim Allaha, Jedinoga i Moćnog,
Sad 38:66
رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡغَفَّـٰرُ
Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver
Gospodara nebesa i Zemlje i onoga što je između njih, Silnoga, Onoga koji prašta."
Sad 38:67
قُلۡ هُوَ نَبَؤٌاْ عَظِيمٌ
Say, "It is great news
Reci: "Ovo je vijest velika,
Sad 38:68
أَنتُمۡ عَنۡهُ مُعۡرِضُونَ
From which you turn away
a vi od nje glave okrećete.
Sad 38:69
مَا كَانَ لِيَ مِنۡ عِلۡمِۭ بِٱلۡمَلَإِ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰٓ إِذۡ يَخۡتَصِمُونَ
I had no knowledge of the exalted assembly [of angels] when they were disputing [the creation of Adam]
Ja nisam ništa znao o melekima uzvišenim kada su se prepirali –
Sad 38:70
إِن يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيَّ إِلَّآ أَنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٌ
It has not been revealed to me except that I am a clear warner
meni se objavljuje samo da jasno opominjem" –
Sad 38:71
إِذۡ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّي خَٰلِقُۢ بَشَرٗا مِّن طِينٖ
[So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay
i kad je melekima Gospodar tvoj rekao: "Stvoriću čovjeka od ilovače,
Sad 38:72
فَإِذَا سَوَّيۡتُهُۥ وَنَفَخۡتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِي فَقَعُواْ لَهُۥ سَٰجِدِينَ
So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration
pa kad mu savršen oblik dam u život u nj udahnem, vi mu se poklonite!"
Sad 38:73
فَسَجَدَ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعُونَ
So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely
meleki su se, svi do posljednjeg, zajedno poklonili
Sad 38:74
إِلَّآ إِبۡلِيسَ ٱسۡتَكۡبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
Except Iblees; he was arrogant and became among the disbelievers
osim Iblisa; on se uzoholio i postao nevjernik.
Sad 38:75
قَالَ يَـٰٓإِبۡلِيسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَن تَسۡجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقۡتُ بِيَدَيَّۖ أَسۡتَكۡبَرۡتَ أَمۡ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡعَالِينَ
[Allah] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty
"O Iblisu!" – rekao je On – "šta te navelo da se ne pokloniš onome koga sam sobom stvorio? Jesi li se uzoholio ili misliš da si uzvišen?"
Sad 38:76
قَالَ أَنَا۠ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡهُ خَلَقۡتَنِي مِن نَّارٖ وَخَلَقۡتَهُۥ مِن طِينٖ
He said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay
"Bolji sam od njega" – rekao je on – "mene si stvorio od vatre a njega od ilovače."
Sad 38:77
قَالَ فَٱخۡرُجۡ مِنۡهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٞ
[Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled
"E, izlazi onda iz Dženneta!" – reče On – "proklet da si!
Sad 38:78
وَإِنَّ عَلَيۡكَ لَعۡنَتِيٓ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ
And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day of Recompense
Moje prokletstvo će te do Sudnjeg dana pratiti!"
Sad 38:79
قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرۡنِيٓ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُونَ
He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected
"Gospodaru moj" – reče on – "daj mi vremena do Dana kada će oni oživljeni biti!"
Sad 38:80
قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنظَرِينَ
[Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved
"Dajem ti" – reče On –
Sad 38:81
إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡوَقۡتِ ٱلۡمَعۡلُومِ
Until the Day of the time well-known
"do Dana već određenog."
Sad 38:82
قَالَ فَبِعِزَّتِكَ لَأُغۡوِيَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
[Iblees] said, "By your might, I will surely mislead them all
"E tako mi dostojanstva Tvoga" – reče – "sigurno ću ih sve na stranputicu navesti,
Sad 38:83
إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ
Except, among them, Your chosen servants
osim Tvojih među njima robova iskrenih!"
Sad 38:84
قَالَ فَٱلۡحَقُّ وَٱلۡحَقَّ أَقُولُ
[Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say
"Istinom se kunem i istinu govorim" – reče Allah –
Sad 38:85
لَأَمۡلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنكَ وَمِمَّن تَبِعَكَ مِنۡهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
[That] I will surely fill Hell with you and those of them that follow you all together
"sigurno ću sa svima, tobom i onima koji se budu poveli za tobom, Džehennem napuniti!"
Sad 38:86
قُلۡ مَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٖ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلۡمُتَكَلِّفِينَ
Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious
Reci: "Ne tražim ja od vas za ovo nikakvu nagradu i ja nisam izvještačen,
Sad 38:87
إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرٞ لِّلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
It is but a reminder to the worlds
Kur'an je doista svijetu cijelome opomena! –
Sad 38:88
وَلَتَعۡلَمُنَّ نَبَأَهُۥ بَعۡدَ حِينِۭ
And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time
i vi ćete uskoro saznati njegovu poruku!"
