Quran 3:141 — Surah Ali 'Imran, ayah 141

وَلِيُمَحِّصَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَيَمۡحَقَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ

And that Allah may purify the believers [through trials] and destroy the disbelievers
