Koran 9:126 — soera At-Tawbah, vers 126

أَوَلَا يَرَوۡنَ أَنَّهُمۡ يُفۡتَنُونَ فِي كُلِّ عَامٖ مَّرَّةً أَوۡ مَرَّتَيۡنِ ثُمَّ لَا يَتُوبُونَ وَلَا هُمۡ يَذَّكَّرُونَ

Zien zij niet dat zij ieder jaar één of twee keer worden beproefd? Toch hebben zij geen berouw, of trekken er lering uit.

Do they not see that they are tried every year once or twice but then they do not repent nor do they remember
