Koran 9:1 — soera At-Tawbah, vers 1

بَرَآءَةٞ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦٓ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَدتُّم مِّنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ

De Vrijstelling van Allah en Zijn boodschapper is verklaard voor de afgodenaanbidders waarmee jullie een verdrag hebben afgesloten.

[This is a declaration of] disassociation, from Allah and His Messenger, to those with whom you had made a treaty among the polytheists
