Koran 8:9 — soera Al-Anfal, vers 9

إِذۡ تَسۡتَغِيثُونَ رَبَّكُمۡ فَٱسۡتَجَابَ لَكُمۡ أَنِّي مُمِدُّكُم بِأَلۡفٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ مُرۡدِفِينَ

(Gedenk de Slag van Badr) waarop jullie bij jullie Heer om hulp smeekten en Hij (Mohammed's smeekbede voor) jullie verhoorde (en zei): “Ik zal jullie met duizend engelen helpen ieder achter de ander (elkaar volgend) in de rij.”

[Remember] when you asked help of your Lord, and He answered you, "Indeed, I will reinforce you with a thousand from the angels, following one another
