Koran 8:33 — soera Al-Anfal, vers 33

وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمۡ وَأَنتَ فِيهِمۡۚ وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمۡ وَهُمۡ يَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَ

En Allah zal hen niet straffen, terwijl jij nog in hun midden verkeert, noch zal Hij hen straffen als zij vergeving zoeken.

But Allah would not punish them while you, [O Muhammad], are among them, and Allah would not punish them while they seek forgiveness
