Koran 6:92 — soera Al-An'am, vers 92

وَهَٰذَا كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ مُبَارَكٞ مُّصَدِّقُ ٱلَّذِي بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ وَلِتُنذِرَ أُمَّ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ وَمَنۡ حَوۡلَهَاۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦۖ وَهُمۡ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمۡ يُحَافِظُونَ

En dit (de Koran) is een gezegend boek dat Wij neer hebben gezonden, (de openbaringen) bevestigend die daarvoor gekomen zijn, zodat jullie de moeder der steden kunnen waarschuwen (Mekkah) en allen die daar rondom heen zijn. Degenen die in het hiernamaals geloven, geloven daarin en zij waken voortdurend over hun gebeden.

And this is a Book which We have sent down, blessed and confirming what was before it, that you may warn the Mother of Cities and those around it. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in it, and they are maintaining their prayers

• Hilali & Khan: And this (the Qur’ân) is a blessed Book which We have sent down, confirming (the revelations) which came before it, so that you may warn the Mother of Towns (i.e. Makkah) and all those around it. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in it (the Qur’ân), and they are constant in guarding their Salât (prayers).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): This is a blessed Book which We have sent down – confirming what came before it, so that you will warn the Mother of Cities [i.e., Makkah] and all those around it. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in it and are mindful of their prayers.
