Koran 6:27 — soera Al-An'am, vers 27

وَلَوۡ تَرَىٰٓ إِذۡ وُقِفُواْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ فَقَالُواْ يَٰلَيۡتَنَا نُرَدُّ وَلَا نُكَذِّبَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّنَا وَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

Als jij maar kon zien, wanneer zij boven het hellevuur worden gehouden! Zij zullen zeggen: “Wij wilden dat wij teruggestuurd werden! Dan zouden wij de tekenen van onze Heer niet ontkennen en wij zouden tot de gelovigen behoren!”

If you could but see when they are made to stand before the Fire and will say, "Oh, would that we could be returned [to life on earth] and not deny the signs of our Lord and be among the believers

• Hilali & Khan: If you could but see when they will be held over the (Hell) Fire! They will say: "Would that we were but sent back (to the world)! Then we would not deny the Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, revelations, etc.) of our Lord, and we would be of the believers!"
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): If you could only see when they will be made to stand before the Fire, they will say, “If only we were sent back, we would not reject the verses of our Lord, and we would be among the believers.”
