Koran 59:8 — soera Al-Hashr, vers 8

لِلۡفُقَرَآءِ ٱلۡمُهَٰجِرِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُخۡرِجُواْ مِن دِيَٰرِهِمۡ وَأَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ يَبۡتَغُونَ فَضۡلٗا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضۡوَٰنٗا وَيَنصُرُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥٓۚ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلصَّـٰدِقُونَ

(En er is ook een deel in deze buit) voor de arme emigranten (de metgezellen uit Makkah), die uit hun huizen verbannen werden (door hun standvastigheid in geloof, ze gingen voor niemand achteruit in het geloof) en van hun eigendommen, overvloed zoekend van Allah en om Hem genoegen te doen. En Allah helpend en Zijn boodschapper. Dat zijn zeker de waarachtigen.

For the poor emigrants who were expelled from their homes and their properties, seeking bounty from Allah and [His] approval and supporting Allah and His Messenger, [there is also a share]. Those are the truthful

• Hilali & Khan: (And there is also a share in this booty) for the poor emigrants, who were expelled from their homes and their property, seeking Bounties from Allâh and to please Him, and helping Allâh (i.e. helping His religion) and His Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم). Such are indeed the truthful (to what they say).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): For the poor emigrants [there is a due share] who were driven out of their homes and their properties, seeking Allah’s bounty and pleasure, and helping the cause of Allah and His Messenger. It is they who are the truthful.
