Koran 33:8 — soera Al-Ahzab, vers 8

لِّيَسۡـَٔلَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ عَن صِدۡقِهِمۡۚ وَأَعَدَّ لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمٗا

Dat Hij de waarachtigen over hun eerlijkheid zal ondervragen (wat dan met degene die niet eerlijk is met Allah). En Hij heeft voor de ongelovigen een pijnlijke bestraffing voorbereid.

That He may question the truthful about their truth. And He has prepared for the disbelievers a painful punishment

• Hilali & Khan: That He may ask the truthful (Allâh’s Messengers and His Prophets) about their truth (i.e. the conveyance of Allâh’s Message that which they were charged with). And He has prepared for the disbelievers a painful torment (Hell-fire).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): so that He may question the truthful about their truthfulness, and He has prepared for the disbelievers a painful punishment.
