Koran 31:13 — soera Luqman, vers 13

وَإِذۡ قَالَ لُقۡمَٰنُ لِٱبۡنِهِۦ وَهُوَ يَعِظُهُۥ يَٰبُنَيَّ لَا تُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِۖ إِنَّ ٱلشِّرۡكَ لَظُلۡمٌ عَظِيمٞ

En (gedenk) toen Loekman tegen zijn zoon zei toen hij hem goede raad gaf: “O mijn zoon! Deel geen anderen in de aanbidding met Allah. Waarlijk! Het delen van anderen in de aanbidding van Allah is zeker een geweldig onrecht.

And [mention, O Muhammad], when Luqman said to his son while he was instructing him, "O my son, do not associate [anything] with Allah. Indeed, association [with him] is great injustice

• Rowwad Translation Center (en): When Luqmān said to his son, while advising him, “O my dear son, do not associate partners with Allah. Indeed, associating partners with Allah is the worst wrongdoing.”
