Koran 20:124 — soera Taha, vers 124

وَمَنۡ أَعۡرَضَ عَن ذِكۡرِي فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ مَعِيشَةٗ ضَنكٗا وَنَحۡشُرُهُۥ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ أَعۡمَىٰ

Maar iedereen die zich afwendt (door geen berouw te tonen) van het gedenken van mij (geen band onderhouden met Allah) – waarlijk, voor hem (heb Ik) een benauwd leven in petto, en Wij zullen hen op de Dag der Opstanding blind laten verrijzen (omdat zijn hart ook blind was).”

And whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a depressed life, and We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection blind

• Hilali & Khan: "But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur’ân nor acts on its teachings.) verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection."
