Koran 2:200 — soera Al-Baqarah, vers 200

فَإِذَا قَضَيۡتُم مَّنَٰسِكَكُمۡ فَٱذۡكُرُواْ ٱللَّهَ كَذِكۡرِكُمۡ ءَابَآءَكُمۡ أَوۡ أَشَدَّ ذِكۡرٗاۗ فَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَقُولُ رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَمَا لَهُۥ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ مِنۡ خَلَٰقٖ

Als jullie dus de rituelen van de hadj hebben voltooid, gedenk Allah dan zoals jullie je vader gedenken of intenser. Maar tot hen (de mensheid) behoort degene die zegt: “Onze Heer! Geef ons in deze wereld!” En hij zal geen deel hebben in het hiernamaals.

And when you have completed your rites, remember Allah like your [previous] remembrance of your fathers or with [much] greater remembrance. And among the people is he who says, "Our Lord, give us in this world," and he will have in the Hereafter no share

• Hilali & Khan: So when you have accomplished your Manâsik, remember Allâh as you remember your forefathers or with a far more remembrance. But of mankind there are some who say: "Our Lord! Give us (Your Bounties) in this world!" and for such there will be no portion in the Hereafter.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): When you have completed your rites, remember Allah as you used to remember your forefathers, or even with greater remembrance. There are some people who say, “Our Lord, give us in this world,” but they will have no share in the Hereafter.
