Koran 12:75 — soera Yusuf, vers 75

قَالُواْ جَزَـٰٓؤُهُۥ مَن وُجِدَ فِي رَحۡلِهِۦ فَهُوَ جَزَـٰٓؤُهُۥۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

Zij zeiden: “De straf zou zijn dat degene in wiens tas het gevonden wordt vast moet worden gehouden voor de straf. Dus wij straffen de onrechtvaardigen."

[The brothers] said, "Its recompense is that he in whose bag it is found - he [himself] will be its recompense. Thus do we recompense the wrongdoers

• Hilali & Khan: They [Yûsuf’s (Joseph) brothers] said: "His penalty should be that he, in whose bag it is found, should be held for the punishment (of the crime). Thus we punish the Zâlimûn (wrong-doers)!"
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): They said, “The punishment is that the one in whose saddlebag it is found should be enslaved in recompense. This is how we punish the wrongdoers.”
