Coran 63:8 — sourate Al-Munafiqun, verset 8

يَقُولُونَ لَئِن رَّجَعۡنَآ إِلَى ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ لَيُخۡرِجَنَّ ٱلۡأَعَزُّ مِنۡهَا ٱلۡأَذَلَّۚ وَلِلَّهِ ٱلۡعِزَّةُ وَلِرَسُولِهِۦ وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ

Ils prétendent : « Lorsque nous serons de retour à Médine, les plus puissants en expulseront les plus faibles. » Or, c’est Allah qui détient la vraie puissance, ainsi que Son Messager et les croyants, ce dont les hypocrites ne sont pas conscients.

They say, "If we return to al-Madinah, the more honored [for power] will surely expel therefrom the more humble." And to Allah belongs [all] honor, and to His Messenger, and to the believers, but the hypocrites do not know

• Noor International Center (fr): Ils disent : « Si nous revenons à Médine, le plus puissant en chassera le plus humble. » C’est pourtant à Allah qu’appartient la Puissance, à Son Messager et aux croyants. Mais les hypocrites ne (le) savent pas.
• Hilali & Khan: They (hyprocrites) say: "If we return to Al-Madinah, indeed the more honourable (‘Abdullâh bin Ubai bin Salûl, the chief of hyprocrites at Al-Madinah) will expel therefrom the meaner (i.e. Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم)." But honour, power and glory belong to Allâh, and to His Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), and to the believers, but the hypocrites know not.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): They say, “When we return to Madinah, the mightier will surely expel the weaker therefrom.” In fact, all might belongs to Allah and to His Messenger, and to the believers, but the hypocrites do not know.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 63:8

Le chef des hypocrites, ‘AbduLlâh ibn `Ubayy, dit: Lorsque nous retournerons à Médine, le plus puissant – c’est-à-dire moi et les miens – fera certainement sortir le plus humble – c’est-à-dire Muħammad et ses Compagnons. Or c’est à Allah Seul, au Messager et aux croyants que la puissance appartient et non à ‘AbduLlâh ibn `Ubayy et à ses compagnons. Seulement, les hypocrites ne savent pas cela.
