Coran 61:8 — sourate As-Saf, verset 8

يُرِيدُونَ لِيُطۡفِـُٔواْ نُورَ ٱللَّهِ بِأَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡ وَٱللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِۦ وَلَوۡ كَرِهَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ

Ils cherchent, par leurs mensonges, à éteindre la lumière d’Allah. Mais Allah parachèvera Sa lumière, n’en déplaise aux mécréants.

They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it

• Noor International Center (fr): Ils veulent, de leurs seules bouches, éteindre la lumière d’Allah ; or Allah accomplira (la manifestation) de Sa lumière, quelque dépit qu’en aient les mécréants.
• Hilali & Khan: They intend to put out the Light of Allâh (i.e. the Religion of Islâm, this Qur’ân, and the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) with their mouths. But Allâh will bring His Light to perfection even though the disbelievers hate (it).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): They wish to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will complete His light, even though the disbelievers dislike it.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 61:8

Ces dénégateurs veulent éteindre la lumière d’Allah, en proférant avec leurs bouches des discours corrompus et en dénaturant la vérité. Allah parachèvera Sa lumière malgré eux, en rendant victorieuse Sa religion dans les contrées orientales et occidentales de la Terre et en élevant haut Sa parole.
