Coran 57:29 — sourate Al-Hadid, verset 29

لِّئَلَّا يَعۡلَمَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ أَلَّا يَقۡدِرُونَ عَلَىٰ شَيۡءٖ مِّن فَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَنَّ ٱلۡفَضۡلَ بِيَدِ ٱللَّهِ يُؤۡتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلۡفَضۡلِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ

Quant aux gens du Livre, qu’ils sachent qu’ils ne peuvent en rien disposer des grâces infinies d’Allah. C’est en effet Allah qui détient toute grâce qu’Il accorde à qui Il veut.

[This is] so that the People of the Scripture may know that they are not able [to obtain] anything from the bounty of Allah and that [all] bounty is in the hand of Allah; He gives it to whom He wills. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty

• Hilali & Khan: So that the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) may know that they have no power whatsoever over the Grace of Allâh, and that (His) Grace is (entirely) in His Hand to bestow it on whomsoever He wills. And Allâh is the Owner of Great Bounty.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 57:29

Nous vous avons explicité que Notre éminente grâce était la double récompense que Nous vous réservons, ô croyants, afin que les Gens du Livre, juifs et chrétiens, sachent qu’ils ne disposent pas de la grâce d’Allah pour l’accorder à qui ils veulent et en priver qui ils veulent, et afin qu’ils sachent également que cette grâce n’est détenue que par Allah. Il l’accorde à qui Il veut parmi Ses serviteurs et Il est celui qui détient la grâce suprême qu’Il accorde spécifiquement à qui Il veut parmi Ses serviteurs.
