Coran 57:16 — sourate Al-Hadid, verset 16

۞أَلَمۡ يَأۡنِ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَن تَخۡشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمۡ لِذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ ٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَا يَكُونُواْ كَٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبۡلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡأَمَدُ فَقَسَتۡ قُلُوبُهُمۡۖ وَكَثِيرٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَٰسِقُونَ

L’heure n’est-elle pas venue pour les croyants de laisser leurs cœurs s’attendrir à l’évocation d’Allah et de la vérité révélée dans Son Livre, se distinguant ainsi de ceux qui ont reçu avant eux les Ecritures et qui, avec le temps, ont vu leurs cœurs s’endurcir et bon nombre d’entre eux se détourner du droit chemin.

Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allah and what has come down of the truth? And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and a long period passed over them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are defiantly disobedient

• Noor International Center (fr): N’est-il donc pas temps, pour ceux qui ont cru, de laisser leurs cœurs se recueillir dans la contrition à l’évocation d’Allah et de ce qui est révélé comme vérité ? Qu’ils ne soient pas comme ceux qui ont reçu le Livre avant eux, et dont, avec le temps, les cœurs ont fini par s’endurcir. Bon nombre d’entre eux furent des pervers.
• Hilali & Khan: Has not the time come for the hearts of those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) to be affected by Allâh’s Reminder (this Qur’ân), and that which has been revealed of the truth, lest they become as those who received the Scripture [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] before (i.e. Jews and Christians), and the term was prolonged for them and so their hearts were hardened? And many of them were Fâsiqûn (the rebellious, the disobedient to Allâh).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Has the time not yet come for those who believe that their hearts should be humbled at the remembrance of Allah and the truth that has been revealed? And that they should not be like those who were given the Scripture before, whose hearts grew hard after the passage of a long time, and many of them were evildoers.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 57:16

N’est-il pas temps pour ceux qui croient en Allah et en Son Messager que leurs cœurs s’adoucissent et s’apaisent à l’évocation d’Allah et à l’écoute des promesses et des menaces contenues dans le Coran? N’est-il pas temps que leurs cœurs ne soient plus aussi durs que ceux des juifs, à qui la Torah a été donnée, et des chrétiens, à qui l’Evangile a été donnée, dont la dureté des cœurs est à attribuer à la grande durée qui les sépare de leurs prophètes, et qui, pour beaucoup d’entre eux, désobéissaient à Allah?
