Coran 5:81 — sourate Al-Ma'idah, verset 81

وَلَوۡ كَانُواْ يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلنَّبِيِّ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡهِ مَا ٱتَّخَذُوهُمۡ أَوۡلِيَآءَ وَلَٰكِنَّ كَثِيرٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ فَٰسِقُونَ

S’ils croyaient vraiment en Allah, au Prophète et au Livre qui lui a été révélé, ils ne prendraient pas ces impies pour alliés. Mais nombre d’entre eux refusent obéissance au Seigneur.

And if they had believed in Allah and the Prophet and in what was revealed to him, they would not have taken them as allies; but many of them are defiantly disobedient

• Noor International Center (fr): Et s’ils croyaient en Allah, au Prophète et à ce qui lui a été révélé, ils n’en feraient pas leurs alliés (des mécréants). Mais bon nombre d’entre eux sont pervers.
• Hilali & Khan: And had they believed in Allâh, and in the Prophet (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) and in what has been revealed to him, never would they have taken them (the disbelievers) as Auliyâ’ (protectors and helpers); but many of them are the Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): If they had believed in Allah and the Prophet, and what has been sent down to him, they would not have taken them as allies, but most of them are evildoers.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 5:81

Si ces juifs croyaient véritablement en Allah et en Son Prophète, ils n’auraient pas pris pour alliés les polythéistes; mais nombre d’entre eux se sont affranchis de l’obéissance à Allah, de Son alliance et de l’alliance due aux croyants.
