Coran 5:59 — sourate Al-Ma'idah, verset 59

قُلۡ يَـٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ هَلۡ تَنقِمُونَ مِنَّآ إِلَّآ أَنۡ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡنَا وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبۡلُ وَأَنَّ أَكۡثَرَكُمۡ فَٰسِقُونَ

Dis : « Gens du Livre ! Qu’avez-vous à nous reprocher sinon de croire en Allah, au Livre qui nous a été révélé, aux Ecritures antérieures et que la plupart d’entre vous refusent obéissance au Seigneur ? »

Say, "O People of the Scripture, do you resent us except [for the fact] that we have believed in Allah and what was revealed to us and what was revealed before and because most of you are defiantly disobedient

• Noor International Center (fr): Dis : « Ô gens du Livre ! Que nous reprochez-vous donc, sinon d’avoir cru en Allah, à ce qui est descendu (en révélation) vers nous et qui est déjà descendu auparavant ? La plupart d’entre vous sont certes des pervers. »
• Hilali & Khan: Say: "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Do you criticize us for no other reason than that we believe in Allâh, and in (the revelation) which has been sent down to us and in that which has been sent down before (us), and that most of you are Fâsiqûn [rebellious and disobedient (to Allâh)]?"
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Say, “O People of the Book, do you resent us only because we believe in Allah and what has been sent down to us and what was sent down before, and that most of you are rebellious?”

Ô Messager, dis aux railleurs parmi les Gens du Livre: Nous reprochez-vous notre croyance en Allah, en ce qu’Il nous a révélé, en ce qu’Il a révélé avant nous ainsi que notre conviction que la plupart d’entre vous se sont affranchis de l’obéissance à Allah en cessant de croire en Lui et de se conformer à Ses commandements? Ce que vous nous reprochez ne nous fait pas rougir, au contraire cela nous honore.
