Coran 5:28 — sourate Al-Ma'idah, verset 28

لَئِنۢ بَسَطتَ إِلَيَّ يَدَكَ لِتَقۡتُلَنِي مَآ أَنَا۠ بِبَاسِطٖ يَدِيَ إِلَيۡكَ لِأَقۡتُلَكَۖ إِنِّيٓ أَخَافُ ٱللَّهَ رَبَّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

Si tu portes la main sur moi pour me tuer, je ne t’imiterai sûrement pas. Je crains Allah, le Seigneur de la Création.

If you should raise your hand against me to kill me - I shall not raise my hand against you to kill you. Indeed, I fear Allah, Lord of the worlds

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 5:28

Si tu lèves la main sur moi dans l’intention de me tuer, je ne te répondrai pas par le même geste. Ce n’est pas par lâcheté de ma part mais plutôt parce que je redoute Allah, le Seigneur des créatures.
