Coran 45:18 — sourate Al-Jathiyah, verset 18

ثُمَّ جَعَلۡنَٰكَ عَلَىٰ شَرِيعَةٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَمۡرِ فَٱتَّبِعۡهَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعۡ أَهۡوَآءَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ

Puis Nous t’avons prescrit une religion aux enseignements tout aussi clairs. Suis-la donc sans jamais te plier aux désirs des ignorants

Then We put you, [O Muhammad], on an ordained way concerning the matter [of religion]; so follow it and do not follow the inclinations of those who do not know

• Noor International Center (fr): Puis Nous t’avons engagé (ô Muhammad) sur la voie de l’Ordre (Suprême). Suis-la donc et ne suis pas les penchants de ceux qui ne savent rien.
• Hilali & Khan: Then We have put you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) on a (plain) way of (Our) commandment [like the one which We commanded Our Messengers before you (i.e. legal ways and laws of the Islâmic Monotheism)]. So follow you that (Islâmic Monotheism and its laws), and follow not the desires of those who know not. (Tafsir At-Tabarî).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Then We put you [O Prophet] on a clear way of the religion; so follow it and do not follow the desires of those who have no knowledge.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 45:18

Puis Nous t'avons fait suivre la voie, la tradition et la méthode conforme à Notre ordre que Nous avons donné auparavant à Nos messagers qui appelaient à la foi et à accomplir de bonnes œuvres. Suis donc cette législation au lieu de suivre les passions de ceux qui ne connaissent pas la vérité et dont les passions égarent de la vérité.
