Coran 41:25 — sourate Fussilat, verset 25

۞وَقَيَّضۡنَا لَهُمۡ قُرَنَآءَ فَزَيَّنُواْ لَهُم مَّا بَيۡنَ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَهُمۡ وَحَقَّ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ فِيٓ أُمَمٖ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِۖ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ خَٰسِرِينَ

Nous leur avions en effet assigné des compagnons inséparables qui leur embellissaient leurs actions et les trompaient au sujet de la Résurrection. Notre arrêt fut donc prononcé contre eux, tout comme il le fut contre les nations de djinns et d’hommes ayant vécu avant eux, qui tous furent voués à la perdition.

And We appointed for them companions who made attractive to them what was before them and what was behind them [of sin], and the word has come into effect upon them among nations which had passed on before them of jinn and men. Indeed, they [all] were losers

Autres traductions 41:25

• Noor International Center (fr): Nous leur avons désigné de (proches) compagnons qui leur embellissaient leurs (actions) futures et passées. Le verdict prononcé contre eux s’est donc justifié, tout comme il s’était déjà justifié pour les peuples de djinns et d’humains qui les avaient précédés ; tous seront perdants.
• Hilali & Khan: And We have assigned for them (devils) intimate companions (in this world), who have made fair-seeming to them, what was before them (evil deeds which they were doing in the present worldly life and disbelief in the Reckoning and the Resurrection) and what was behind them (denial of the matters in the coming life of the Hereafter as regards punishment or reward). And the Word (i.e. the torment) is justified against them as it was justified against those who were among the previous generations of jinn and men that had passed away before them. Indeed they (all) were the losers.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): We assigned to them [evil] associates who made appealing to them what was before them and what was behind them, so the decree [of punishment] became due against them along with nations that passed before them of jinn and men, for indeed they were losers.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 41:25

Nous avons apprêté à ces mécréants des compagnons démons qui ne les quittent pas d’une semelle et qui leur embellissent les péchés qu’ils commettent dans le bas monde et le sort qui sera le leur dans l’au-delà, leur faisant ainsi oublier de se rappeler d’œuvrer afin de mériter un sort enviable. Ils seront ainsi condamnés au châtiment en compagnie d’autres peuples qui les ont précédés parmi les humains et les djinns. Ils seront du nombre des perdants qui, par leur entrée en Enfer, se perdront eux-mêmes et ne verront plus leurs familles.
