Coran 4:38 — sourate An-Nisa, verset 38

وَٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمۡوَٰلَهُمۡ رِئَآءَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَلَا بِٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡأٓخِرِۗ وَمَن يَكُنِ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ لَهُۥ قَرِينٗا فَسَآءَ قَرِينٗا

et à ceux qui dépensent leurs biens par ostentation, sans croire ni en Allah, ni au Jour dernier. Celui dont Satan est le compagnon inséparable a là un bien mauvais compagnon.

And [also] those who spend of their wealth to be seen by the people and believe not in Allah nor in the Last Day. And he to whom Satan is a companion - then evil is he as a companion

• Noor International Center (fr): (Il n’aime pas, non plus) ceux qui dépensent leurs biens par ostentation et ne croient pas en Allah ni au Jour Dernier. Quiconque a Satan pour compagnon inséparable, ô combien mauvais est celui qu’il a comme compagnon !
• Hilali & Khan: And (also) those who spend of their substance to be seen of men, and believe not in Allâh and the Last Day [they are the friends of Shaitân (Satan)], and whoever takes Shaitân (Satan) as an intimate; then what a dreadful intimate he has!
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): And [also] those who spend their wealth to show off to people, but do not believe in Allah or the Last Day. Whoever takes Satan as an associate has indeed taken an evil associate.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 4:38

Nous avons aussi préparé un châtiment pour ceux qui dépensent de leurs richesses afin que les gens les voient et fassent leur éloge alors qu’ils ne croient pas en Allah ni au Jour de la Résurrection. Nous leur avons ainsi préparé ce châtiment avilissant. Ils ne se sont égarés que par leur alliance avec Satan. Or quiconque a comme ami inséparable Satan a choisi un bien mauvais ami.
