Coran 4:108 — sourate An-Nisa, verset 108

يَسۡتَخۡفُونَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَا يَسۡتَخۡفُونَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ وَهُوَ مَعَهُمۡ إِذۡ يُبَيِّتُونَ مَا لَا يَرۡضَىٰ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡلِۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا يَعۡمَلُونَ مُحِيطًا

Ils se dérobent aux regards des hommes sans chercher à se cacher d’Allah qui pourtant est avec eux lorsqu’ils prononcent secrètement des paroles qu’Il réprouve. Mais aucune de leurs manœuvres n’échappe à Allah.

They conceal [their evil intentions and deeds] from the people, but they cannot conceal [them] from Allah, and He is with them [in His knowledge] when they spend the night in such as He does not accept of speech. And ever is Allah, of what they do, encompassing

• Noor International Center (fr): Ils font tout pour se cacher des hommes mais ne font rien pour se cacher d’Allah. Il est pourtant avec eux quand, la nuit, ils tiennent des propos qu’Il n’agrée pas. Allah, (par Son savoir), Cerne ce qu’ils font.
• Hilali & Khan: They may hide (their crimes) from men, but they cannot hide (them) from Allâh; for He is with them (by His Knowledge), when they plot by night in words that He does not approve. And Allâh ever encompasses what they do.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): They seek to hide from people but they do not seek to hide from Allah, although He is with them when they devise plans to say things that are displeasing to Him. Indeed, Allah encompasses all that they do.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 4:108

Ils commettent des péchés à l’abri des regards par peur du qu’en-dira-t-on, mais ils ne craignent pas le jugement d’Allah alors qu’Il est avec eux par Sa Connaissance et que rien ne Lui échappe lorsqu’ils préparent en cachette des discours qu’Il n’agrée pas, comme lorsqu’ils prennent la défense d’un coupable ou accusent un innocent. Allah connaît tous leurs agissements, publics comme secrets. Rien ne Lui échappe et Il les rétribuera pour leurs œuvres.
