Coran 39:47 — sourate Az-Zumar, verset 47

وَلَوۡ أَنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ مَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَمِيعٗا وَمِثۡلَهُۥ مَعَهُۥ لَٱفۡتَدَوۡاْ بِهِۦ مِن سُوٓءِ ٱلۡعَذَابِ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۚ وَبَدَا لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَمۡ يَكُونُواْ يَحۡتَسِبُونَ

Si les mécréants disposaient de tous les trésors de la terre, et autant encore, ils les offriraient volontiers le Jour de la résurrection pour échapper à Nos rigueurs. Mais ils découvriront, venant d’Allah, une réalité qu’ils n’avaient jamais soupçonnée.

And if those who did wrong had all that is in the earth entirely and the like of it with it, they would [attempt to] ransom themselves thereby from the worst of the punishment on the Day of Resurrection. And there will appear to them from Allah that which they had not taken into account

• Noor International Center (fr): Si ceux qui ont été injustes possédaient tout ce qu’il y a sur terre, et (qu’y soit ajoutée) une fois autant (de possession), ils le paieraient volontiers en rançon pour échapper au pire des supplices au Jour de la Résurrection. (Ce jour-là) il leur apparaîtra, (venant) d’Allah, ce à quoi ils ne s’attendaient guère.
• Hilali & Khan: And those who did wrong (the polytheists and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh), if they had all that is in earth and therewith as much again, they verily, would offer it to ransom themselves therewith on the Day of Resurrection from the evil torment; and there will become apparent to them from Allâh what they had not been reckoning.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): If the wrongdoers were to possess all that is on earth and the like of it, they would surely offer it to ransom themselves from the terrible punishment on the Day of Resurrection. There will appear to them from Allah what they had never anticipated.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 39:47

Si ceux qui étaient injustes envers eux-mêmes, parce qu’ils mécroyaient et désobéissaient, possédaient toutes les richesses et les trésors de la Terre, ils les offriraient afin de se racheter et échapper au châtiment terrible qu’ils verront après leur ressuscitation, mais ils ne possèdent pas ces richesses et ces trésors. Et même s’ils les possédaient, leur requête ne serait pas acceptée et Allah leur montrera des variétés d’autres supplices auxquels ils ne s’attendront pas.
