Coran 35:44 — sourate Fatir, verset 44

أَوَلَمۡ يَسِيرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَيَنظُرُواْ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ وَكَانُوٓاْ أَشَدَّ مِنۡهُمۡ قُوَّةٗۚ وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيُعۡجِزَهُۥ مِن شَيۡءٖ فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَلِيمٗا قَدِيرٗا

N’ont-ils pas parcouru le monde et médité la fin des peuples ayant vécu avant eux qui étaient bien plus puissants qu’eux ? Car rien dans les cieux et sur la terre ne saurait s’opposer à la volonté d’Allah qui est Omniscient et Omnipotent.

Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those before them? And they were greater than them in power. But Allah is not to be caused failure by anything in the heavens or on the earth. Indeed, He is ever Knowing and Competent

• Noor International Center (fr): N’ont-ils pas parcouru la terre pour voir quel fut le sort de ceux qui les ont précédés et qui étaient pourtant bien plus puissants qu’eux ? Rien dans les cieux ni sur terre ne peut mettre au défi la puissance d’Allah. Il est Omniscient et Omnipotent.
• Hilali & Khan: Have they not travelled in the land, and seen what was the end of those before them - though they were superior to them in power? Allâh is not such that anything in the heavens or in the earth escapes Him. Verily, He is All-Knowing, All-Omnipotent.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Have they not traveled in the land to see what was the end of those who came before them? They were more powerful than them. Allah is not such that something can escape Him in the heavens or on earth. He is indeed All-Knowing, Most Capable.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 35:44

Ceux, parmi les Quraychites, qui te traitent de menteur n’ont-ils pas parcouru la Terre et médité la fin que connurent les peuples dénégateurs qui les ont précédés? Leur fin n’a-t-elle pas été néfaste puisqu’ils ont été anéantis par Allah alors qu’ils étaient plus puissants que les Quraychites? Rien n’échappe à Allah dans les Cieux et sur la Terre. Il connaît le mieux les agissements de ces dénégateurs, rien ne Lui en est inconnu et Il a le pouvoir de les anéantir quand Il le veut.
