Coran 3:44 — sourate Ali 'Imran, verset 44

ذَٰلِكَ مِنۡ أَنۢبَآءِ ٱلۡغَيۡبِ نُوحِيهِ إِلَيۡكَۚ وَمَا كُنتَ لَدَيۡهِمۡ إِذۡ يُلۡقُونَ أَقۡلَٰمَهُمۡ أَيُّهُمۡ يَكۡفُلُ مَرۡيَمَ وَمَا كُنتَ لَدَيۡهِمۡ إِذۡ يَخۡتَصِمُونَ

Ce sont là des événements inconnus de toi que Nous te révélons. Tu n’étais pas parmi eux lorsqu’ils jetaient leurs calames afin de tirer au sort celui d’entre eux qui devait se charger de Marie. Tu n’étais pas parmi eux lorsqu’ils se disputaient sa garde.

That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal to you, [O Muhammad]. And you were not with them when they cast their pens as to which of them should be responsible for Mary. Nor were you with them when they disputed

• Noor International Center (fr): Voilà des nouvelles de l’Inconnaissable (ghayb) que Nous t’inspirons, toi qui n’étais point présent lorsqu’ils jetaient leurs calames pour savoir qui d’entre eux devait se charger de Marie, toi qui n’étais point présent, non plus lorsqu’ils se disputaient.
• Hilali & Khan: This is a part of the news of the Ghaib (unseen, i.e. the news of the past nations of which you have no knowledge) which We reveal to you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم). You were not with them, when they cast lots with their pens as to which of them should be charged with the care of Maryam (Mary); nor were you with them when they disputed.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): This is from the stories of the unseen that We reveal to you [O Prophet]; you were not with them when they cast lots as to which of them should take guardianship of Mary, nor were you with them when they disputed about it.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 3:44

Ce qui a été raconté de l’histoire de Zacharie et Marie compte parmi les connaissances relevant de l’Invisible (`al-ghaybu) que Nous te révélons, ô Messager. Tu n’étais pas présent avec ces savants et gens de bien lorsqu’ils se sont disputés pour déterminer qui méritait le mieux d’éduquer Marie jusqu’à ce qu’ils recourent au tirage au sort et qu’ils jètent leurs calames. Ce fut le calame de Zacharie qui fut tiré au sort.
