Coran 3:39 — sourate Ali 'Imran, verset 39

فَنَادَتۡهُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَهُوَ قَآئِمٞ يُصَلِّي فِي ٱلۡمِحۡرَابِ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكَ بِيَحۡيَىٰ مُصَدِّقَۢا بِكَلِمَةٖ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَسَيِّدٗا وَحَصُورٗا وَنَبِيّٗا مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

Les anges s’adressèrent à Zacharie qui, debout, priait dans le Sanctuaire : « Allah t’annonce la naissance de Jean qui croira en la mission d’un prophète né d’un verbe d’Allah, se distinguera par la noblesse et la pureté de son caractère et sera du nombre des prophètes pleins de vertu. »

So the angels called him while he was standing in prayer in the chamber, "Indeed, Allah gives you good tidings of John, confirming a word from Allah and [who will be] honorable, abstaining [from women], and a prophet from among the righteous

• Noor International Center (fr): Les Anges l’appelèrent aussitôt, pendant qu’il était debout et priait dans le sanctuaire : « Allah t’annonce une heureuse nouvelle : la naissance prochaine de Yahia (Jean), qui viendra confirmer la Parole d’Allah. Ce sera un homme d’une grande noblesse, chaste et un Prophète parmi les vertueux. »
• Hilali & Khan: Then the angels called him, while he was standing in prayer in Al-Mihrâb (a praying place or a private room), (saying): "Allâh gives you glad tidings of Yahya (John), confirming (believing in) the word from Allâh [i.e. the creation of ‘Îsâ (Jesus) عليه السلام, the Word from Allâh ("Be!" - and he was!)], noble, keeping away from sexual relations with women, a Prophet, from among the righteous."
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): The angels called out to him while he was standing in the prayer chamber praying, “Allah gives you glad tidings of John, who will confirm a Word from Allah and will be a noble leader, abstinent [from women], and a prophet from among the righteous.”

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 3:39

Les anges l’appelèrent alors qu’il était en prière dans son lieu d’adoration en lui disant: Allah t’annonce un fils qui viendra au monde et qui s’appelle Yaħyâ (Jean-Baptiste). L’une de ses caractéristiques est qu’il aura foi en une parole provenant d’Allah, à savoir Jésus fils de Marie. Celui-ci a été créé de manière particulière, car il a été créé par une parole d’Allah. Ce garçon surpassera son peuple en science et en piété et il bridera ses désirs (dont les désirs charnels) pour se consacrer à l’adoration d’Allah. Il deviendra aussi un prophète et sera du nombre des gens de bien.
