Coran 3:146 — sourate Ali 'Imran, verset 146

وَكَأَيِّن مِّن نَّبِيّٖ قَٰتَلَ مَعَهُۥ رِبِّيُّونَ كَثِيرٞ فَمَا وَهَنُواْ لِمَآ أَصَابَهُمۡ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا ضَعُفُواْ وَمَا ٱسۡتَكَانُواْۗ وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ

Que de prophètes ont lutté pour la cause d’Allah, assistés d’un grand nombre de fidèles qui n’ont pas fléchi face aux revers subis, n’ont pas faibli et ne se sont pas soumis à l’ennemi. Allah aime ceux qui font preuve de constance.

And how many a prophet [fought and] with him fought many religious scholars. But they never lost assurance due to what afflicted them in the cause of Allah, nor did they weaken or submit. And Allah loves the steadfast

Autres traductions 3:146

• Noor International Center (fr): Que de Prophètes ont combattu, avec à leurs côtés nombre de leurs disciples ! Ces derniers ne se laissèrent nullement décourager par les revers essuyés dans le chemin d’Allah ; ils ne faiblirent point ni ne capitulèrent. Et Allah aime ceux qui prennent patience.
• Hilali & Khan: And many a Prophet (i.e. many from amongst the Prophets) fought (in Allâh’s Cause) and along with him (fought) large bands of religious learned men. But they never lost heart for that which did befall them in Allâh’s Way, nor did they weaken nor degrade themselves. And Allâh loves As-Sâbirûn (the patient).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): [Imagine] how many prophets along with the devout men fought, but they did not lose heart because of what they suffered in the way of Allah, nor did they weaken or surrender. And Allah loves those who are patient.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 3:146

Bien des prophètes d’Allah avant vous allèrent au combat avec de nombreux adeptes et affrontèrent de lourdes pertes sans vaciller. Ils ne faiblirent pas face à l’ennemi, ni ne se rendirent. Ils se montrèrent au contraire fermes et persévérants. Allah aime ceux qui font preuve d’endurance face aux malheurs et catastrophes qui les frappent pour Sa cause.
