Coran 28:4 — sourate Al-Qasas, verset 4

إِنَّ فِرۡعَوۡنَ عَلَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَجَعَلَ أَهۡلَهَا شِيَعٗا يَسۡتَضۡعِفُ طَآئِفَةٗ مِّنۡهُمۡ يُذَبِّحُ أَبۡنَآءَهُمۡ وَيَسۡتَحۡيِۦ نِسَآءَهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ

Se comportant en tyran arrogant et en être malfaisant dans son pays, Pharaon avait réparti ses sujets en castes, opprimant le groupe le plus faible dont il avait ordonné que les fils soient égorgés, seules les filles devant être épargnées.

Indeed, Pharaoh exalted himself in the land and made its people into factions, oppressing a sector among them, slaughtering their [newborn] sons and keeping their females alive. Indeed, he was of the corrupters

• Noor International Center (fr): Pharaon (qui) s’enflait d’orgueil et transgressait sur terre divisa ses habitants en divers clans. Il en opprimait le plus faible, dont il faisait égorger les enfants, et laissait vivre les femmes. Il faisait certes partie des corrupteurs.
• Hilali & Khan: Verily, Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) exalted himself in the land and made its people sects, weakening (oppressing) a group (i.e. Children of Israel) among them: killing their sons, and letting their females live. Verily, he was of the Mufsidûn(i.e. those who commit great sins and crimes, oppressors, tyrants).
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Indeed, Pharaoh arrogantly elevated himself in the land and divided its people into different factions; oppressing one group of them, slaughtering their sons and sparing their women alive. He was truly one of those who spread corruption.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 28:4

Pharaon gouvernait tyranniquement la terre d’Egypte et divisa le peuple de cette terre en communautés. Il en persécutait une, celle des Israélites, en tuant ses mâles et en gardant en vie ses femmes afin de les asservir, et de les avilir à l’extrême. Pharaon, par son injustice, sa tyrannie et son arrogance, était assurément du nombre des fauteurs de désordre sur Terre.
