Coran 28:39 — sourate Al-Qasas, verset 39

وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرَ هُوَ وَجُنُودُهُۥ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ بِغَيۡرِ ٱلۡحَقِّ وَظَنُّوٓاْ أَنَّهُمۡ إِلَيۡنَا لَا يُرۡجَعُونَ

Pharaon et ses armées affichèrent une fierté démesurée dans le pays, refusant injustement la vérité, persuadés qu’ils ne seraient jamais ramenés à Nous.

And he was arrogant, he and his soldiers, in the land, without right, and they thought that they would not be returned to Us

• Rowwad Translation Center (en): He and his soldiers were arrogant in the land without any right and thought that they would not be brought back to Us.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 28:39

L’arrogance de Pharaon et de ses soldats s’accrut et ils se comportèrent avec tyrannie en terre d’Egypte. Ils rejetèrent la réalité de la Ressuscitation et ils pensèrent qu’ils n’allaient pas retourner vers Nous le Jour de la Résurrection afin de rendre des comptes et être rétribués.
