Ayat an-Nur (le verset de la Lumière) — Coran 24:35 en arabe et en français

۞ٱللَّهُ نُورُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ مَثَلُ نُورِهِۦ كَمِشۡكَوٰةٖ فِيهَا مِصۡبَاحٌۖ ٱلۡمِصۡبَاحُ فِي زُجَاجَةٍۖ ٱلزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوۡكَبٞ دُرِّيّٞ يُوقَدُ مِن شَجَرَةٖ مُّبَٰرَكَةٖ زَيۡتُونَةٖ لَّا شَرۡقِيَّةٖ وَلَا غَرۡبِيَّةٖ يَكَادُ زَيۡتُهَا يُضِيٓءُ وَلَوۡ لَمۡ تَمۡسَسۡهُ نَارٞۚ نُّورٌ عَلَىٰ نُورٖۚ يَهۡدِي ٱللَّهُ لِنُورِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَيَضۡرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡأَمۡثَٰلَ لِلنَّاسِۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيۡءٍ عَلِيمٞ

Allah est la lumière des cieux et de la terre. Sa lumière est à l’image de la lumière émise par une chandelle placée dans une niche. La chandelle, à l’intérieur d’un cristal ayant l’éclat d’un astre lumineux, est alimentée par une huile tirée d’un arbre béni, un olivier exposé au soleil matin et soir, une huile qui éclaire sans même entrer en contact avec le feu. La lumière produite par la chandelle est ainsi démultipliée. Allah guide qui Il veut vers Sa lumière. Allah, dont la science est infinie, propose ainsi des paraboles aux hommes.

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things

• Noor International Center (fr): Allah est la lumière des cieux et de la terre. Sa lumière est semblable à une niche où il y a une lampe. La lampe est dans un cristal et le cristal est comme un astre brillant qu’allume un arbre béni : un olivier (exposé) ni (complètement) vers l’orient ni (complètement) vers l’occident, et dont l’huile éclaire presque sans contact avec le feu. Lumière sur lumière. Allah guide vers Sa lumière qui Il veut. Allah donne des exemples aux hommes. Allah est de Toute chose Savant.
• Hilali & Khan: Allâh is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of His Light is as (if there were) a niche and within it a lamp: the lamp is in a glass, the glass as it were a brilliant star, lit from a blessed tree, an olive, neither of the east (i.e. neither it gets sun-rays only in the morning) nor of the west (i.e. nor it gets sun-rays only in the afternoon, but it is exposed to the sun all day long), whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself), though no fire touched it. Light upon Light! Allâh guides to His Light whom He wills. And Allâh sets forth parables for mankind, and Allâh is All-Knower of everything.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 24:35

Allah est la lumière des Cieux et de la Terre ainsi que le Guide de leurs habitants. Sa lumière dans le cœur du Croyant est telle une niche dans un mur qui contient une lampe se trouvant dans un récipient de cristal et resplendissant tel un astre brillant. Cette lampe a pour combustible l’huile d’un arbre béni qui est l’olivier et que rien ne dissimule au soleil, ni le matin ni l’après-midi. Son huile est tellement pure qu’elle semble brillante sans que le feu ne la touche. Qu’en serait-il alors si le feu la touchait? La lumière de la lampe s’ajoute à celle du récipient de cristal comme dans le cœur du croyant lorsque la lueur de la guidée y prend naissance. Allah facilite à qui Il veut parmi Ses serviteurs de suivre le Coran et expose les choses en les comparants à ce qui leur est semblable. Il est Connaisseur de tout et rien ne Lui échappe.
