Coran 21:90 — sourate Al-Anbya, verset 90

فَٱسۡتَجَبۡنَا لَهُۥ وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهُۥ يَحۡيَىٰ وَأَصۡلَحۡنَا لَهُۥ زَوۡجَهُۥٓۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِي ٱلۡخَيۡرَٰتِ وَيَدۡعُونَنَا رَغَبٗا وَرَهَبٗاۖ وَكَانُواْ لَنَا خَٰشِعِينَ

Nous l’avons exaucé, lui faisant don de Jean après avoir rendu à son épouse sa fécondité. Tous s’empressaient d’accomplir le bien et Nous invoquaient pleins d’espoir et de crainte. Tous se soumettaient humblement à Notre volonté.

So We responded to him, and We gave to him John, and amended for him his wife. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive

• Noor International Center (fr): Nous l’exauçâmes, (lui aussi), lui fîmes don de Yahyâ (Jean le Baptiste) et guérîmes son épouse. Tous rivalisaient de vertu et Nous invoquaient pleins d’espoir et avec crainte ; tous se recueillaient, humbles devant Nous.
• Hilali & Khan: So We answered his call, and We bestowed upon him Yahyâ (John), and cured his wife (to bear a child) for him. Verily, they used to hasten on to do good deeds, and they used to call on Us with hope and fear, and used to humble themselves before Us.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): So We answered his prayer and gave him John, and made his wife fertile. They used to hasten in doing good deeds and used to call upon Us with hope and fear, and they were humble before Us.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 21:90

Nous exauçâmes également son invocation. Nous lui avons donné ainsi comme fils Jean-Baptiste et avons guéri son épouse qui n’enfantait pas. Zacharie, son épouse et leur fils étaient des gens qui s’empressaient de faire le bien et qui Nous invoquaient en espérant gagner Notre récompense et en craignant de subir Notre punition. De plus, ils Nous imploraient avec humilité.
