Coran 18:97 — sourate Al-Kahf, verset 97

فَمَا ٱسۡطَٰعُوٓاْ أَن يَظۡهَرُوهُ وَمَا ٱسۡتَطَٰعُواْ لَهُۥ نَقۡبٗا

Gog et Magog ne purent donc franchir le barrage, et encore moins y pratiquer une brèche.

So Gog and Magog were unable to pass over it, nor were they able [to effect] in it any penetration

• Noor International Center (fr): Ainsi, ils (les Gog et les Magog) ne purent ni escalader (la muraille) ni la percer.
• Hilali & Khan: So they [Ya’jûj and Ma’jûj (Gog and Magog)] could not scale it or dig through it.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Thus they could not climb over it nor could they pierce it.
