Coran 16:70 — sourate An-Nahl, verset 70

وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمۡ ثُمَّ يَتَوَفَّىٰكُمۡۚ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰٓ أَرۡذَلِ ٱلۡعُمُرِ لِكَيۡ لَا يَعۡلَمَ بَعۡدَ عِلۡمٖ شَيۡـًٔاۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٞ قَدِيرٞ

C’est Allah qui reprend vos âmes après vous avoir donné la vie. Certains, parmi vous, tombent avant cela dans la sénilité, finissant par oublier tout ce qu’ils avaient appris. Allah est Omniscient et Omnipotent.

And Allah created you; then He will take you in death. And among you is he who is reversed to the most decrepit [old] age so that he will not know, after [having had] knowledge, a thing. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Competent

• Noor International Center (fr): Allah vous a créés puis Il reprendra vos âmes ; et il en est parmi vous qui atteindront le plus décrépit des âges et qui ne sauront plus rien après avoir tant su. Allah est Omniscient et Omnipotent.
• Hilali & Khan: And Allâh has created you and then He will cause you to die; and of you there are some who are sent back to senility, so that they know nothing after having known (much). Truly! Allâh is All-Knowing, All-Powerful.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Allah has created you, then He causes you to die. Among you are some who are left to reach the most decrepit age, so that they may know nothing after having known much. Indeed, Allah is All-Knowing, Most Capable.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 16:70

Allah vous a créés sans modèle préalable puis Il vous fait mourir lorsque la durée de vos vies s'écoule. Certains parmi vous vivent jusqu’à devenir séniles et perdent les connaissances qu’ils avaient auparavant. Allah est Omniscient puisque aucun des agissements de Ses serviteurs ne Lui échappe. Il est aussi Omnipotent car rien ne Lui est impossible.
