Coran 16:26 — sourate An-Nahl, verset 26

قَدۡ مَكَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ فَأَتَى ٱللَّهُ بُنۡيَٰنَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡقَوَاعِدِ فَخَرَّ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلسَّقۡفُ مِن فَوۡقِهِمۡ وَأَتَىٰهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ مِنۡ حَيۡثُ لَا يَشۡعُرُونَ

Les peuples qui ont vécu avant eux se sont livrés aux pires manœuvres à l’encontre de leurs Messagers. Mais Allah a déjoué leurs complots qui se sont retournés contre eux. Le châtiment est alors venu les emporter de l’endroit le plus inattendu.

Those before them had already plotted, but Allah came at their building from the foundations, so the roof fell upon them from above them, and the punishment came to them from where they did not perceive

• Noor International Center (fr): Ceux qui les ont précédés avaient tramé des intrigues. Allah S’en prit alors aux fondements même de leur édifice dont le toit s’écroula sur leurs têtes et le supplice s’abattit sur eux par là où ils ne pouvaient le sentir (venir).
• Hilali & Khan: Those before them indeed plotted, but Allâh struck at the foundation of their building, and then the roof fell down upon them, from above them, and the torment overtook them from directions they did not perceive.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Those who came before them plotted, so Allah uprooted their buildings from their foundations and the roof fell down on top of them, and the punishment came on them from where they could not imagine.

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 16:26

Les mécréants du passé ont précédé ceux-là dans ce qu’ils ourdissaient comme complots contre leurs messagers mais Allah a démoli leur édifice à sa base. Son toit s’écroula au-dessus de leurs têtes et le châtiment s’abattit sur eux d’où ils ne s’y attendaient pas, puisqu’ils étaient convaincus que leurs édifices les protégeaient. Or ils furent anéantis à l’intérieur même de ces édifices.
