Coran 13:18 — sourate Ar-Ra'd, verset 18

لِلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتَجَابُواْ لِرَبِّهِمُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَمۡ يَسۡتَجِيبُواْ لَهُۥ لَوۡ أَنَّ لَهُم مَّا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَمِيعٗا وَمِثۡلَهُۥ مَعَهُۥ لَٱفۡتَدَوۡاْ بِهِۦٓۚ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ سُوٓءُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ وَمَأۡوَىٰهُمۡ جَهَنَّمُۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمِهَادُ

A ceux qui répondent à l’appel de leur Seigneur est promise la plus belle récompense. Quant à ceux qui s’y refusent, s’ils disposaient de tous les trésors de la terre, et autant encore, ils l’offriraient en rançon pour se racheter. Mais ils seront soumis à un jugement impitoyable, puis voués à l’Enfer. Et quelle horrible demeure !

For those who have responded to their Lord is the best [reward], but those who did not respond to Him - if they had all that is in the earth entirely and the like of it with it, they would [attempt to] ransom themselves thereby. Those will have the worst account, and their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the resting place

Autres traductions 13:18

• Noor International Center (fr): Ceux qui auront répondu à l’appel de leur Seigneur auront la plus belle (des récompenses) ; et ceux qui n’y auront pas répondu, quand bien même ils auraient tout ce qu’il y a sur terre, et une fois autant à payer en rançon (pour se racheter), auront à rendre compte de la pire des manières et leur séjour sera la Géhenne, et quelle horrible couche !
• Hilali & Khan: For those who answered their Lord’s Call [believed in the Oneness of Allâh and followed His Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم i.e. Islâmic Monotheism] is Al-Husnâ (i.e. Paradise). But those who answered not His Call (disbelieved in the Oneness of Allâh and followed not His Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم), if they had all that is in the earth together with its like, they would offer it in order to save themselves (from the torment, but it will be in vain). For them there will be the terrible reckoning. Their dwelling-place will be Hell; and worst indeed is that place for rest.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Those who respond to their Lord will have the best reward. As for those who do not respond to Him, even if they were to possess all that is on earth and the likes thereof, they would surely offer it to ransom themselves; they will have the worst reckoning, and their abode will be Hell. What a terrible resting place!

Tafsir (explication) de ce verset 13:18

Aux croyants qui ont répondu favorablement lorsque leur Seigneur les a appelés à proclamer son Unicité et à Lui obéir, Allah accordera la meilleure des récompenses qui est le Paradis. Quant aux mécréants qui n’ont pas répondu favorablement à cet appel, s’ils avaient à leur disposition le double de toutes les sortes de richesses de la Terre, ils le dépenseraient afin de se racheter du supplice. Ceux-là devront rendre des comptes pour la totalité de leurs mauvaises actions et la demeure qu’ils habiteront sera l’Enfer. Quelle pire résidence que l’Enfer!
